Swing Hop Music by Odd Chap

Thought I'd try my hand at some gypsy jazz styled Electro Swing. This one is bringing a bit more of the gypsy swing rather than my usual "electro focused" ones. This will also be my last solo one for a while as I'm working on a huge project that will be out hopefully later this year with Freshly Squeezed Music.

Glenn Gatsby brings the snow right to our doorsteps and into our ear canals. With his new single "Snow Swing" the Norwegian combines fat Hip Hop beats with musical Roaring Twenties grooves and big band samples. The Swing Hop genre is mostly instrumental and runs perfectly in the background for baking Christmas cookies, studying or having a few drinks in a bar next door. But you shouldn't miss this in clubs at a big Electro Swing or Great Gatsby party either. This crossover subgenre has many homes and continues to surprise with new styles. Spring Time Strolling

I am pleased to announce that my brand new remix is out now!
I was approached by 'Electro Swing Thing' and asked if I'd like to remix 'Marty & His Rockin' Comets' cover of the classic Fred Astaire track 'Cheek to Cheek.' 

I was down to work on it anyways seeing as the Electro Swing Thing is such an awesome new label and run by the legend that is Wolfgang Lohr but as soon as I heard the cover, i knew it had massive Swing Hop potential, so I jumped at the chance! 

I then started working on transforming a 50's Rock n Roll piece into a light and happy Swing Hop Tune and here is the result, enjoy!

San Francisco's SpekrFreks give Gershwin's classic magnum opus a future house twist with Blue Rhapsody.

Rhapsody in Blue, the American composer's most widely-known work, entered the public domain last January. We immediately let this be known to the glitch hop/swing music maestros of SpekrFreks, who have mastered the transformation of early 20th Century musical works into contemporary genres.

"I wanted to do something big, epic, and anthemic," says producer Ed Walker. "Like Tiesto, Don Diablo, and RetroVision. Their music has a sense of futuristic flight and this track makes me feel like I'm buckled up in my front row seat and the plane has just lifted off!"

Clocking in at just under 4 minutes, Blue Rhapsody simplifies the many movements of Gershwin's original epic but still delivers all the happy, nostalgic feels.
