One thing becomes very clear only seconds into Last Rites’ opening track: Sunpower are back with an unprecedented energy. The constant thump of ‘Another Rage’, only interrupted by its frantic chorus, manages to build up a sense of urgency that hits you right in the chest that you won’t be able to shake for a while. This is immediately followed by the one-two combo of ‘No one is Innocent’ and ‘Johnny Roller’, before finishing with the merciless rant and breakneck speed of the 55 seconds rocker that is ‘Get out of Society’. 

With its four tracks in under six minutes, ‘Last Rites’ is fast, raw, loud and has the band sounding more enraged than ever. Get ready to play this wild and nasty 7” in a constant loop.

Sunpower - Another Rage

Debut release ‘I Want You’ is a creamy rainbow gem inspired by the psych blues lords of the 60s and the gospel soul groovers of the 70s. Blending pop hooks, happy-go-fuzzy guitar wigouts and soulful wandering vocals, I Want You is an uplifting soundgasm.
