Continuing the flow from the last show, not necessarily upping the tempo, but bringing the beats into the ambience. A fine mixture of the latest acquisitions that exemplify a current mood. As usual we are taken back or pushed forward, never knowing where we stand or what to expect. Such is the way to end this season, possibly the most consistent so far?

Sophie Pschorr is one of our international residents, based in Munich, Germany. She is an affiliate of Public Possession and also holds another residency, “Pferdestärken”, at Munich’s local radio station Radio 80k. With every new mix surfacing the internet, Sophie always succeeds in surprising us with new sounds and twists - without making any fuzz about it. Today, for TNP, she delivered a true work of art for her "Stratus" series.

Sophie’s new mix immediately brings us in a dream-like state of mind, almost hypnotizing, with sounds that make us feel like we’re walking in a damp forest. Her signature melancholic take on mixes can be felt strongly and is prevalent to the last second. This one is going to be on repeat for a while.

Arne Bunjes : The Mix I made draws its inspiration from the moment I began to go out at night regularly, when I moved to Düsseldorf to Study Social Work at the Fachhochschule Düsseldorf.

In my hometown my musical Influences were US Punk/Hardcore, Hip Hop and whatever pop music was hot on local Radio or MTV. After randomly ending up at the Salon des Amateurs (in the early noughties) where the music was completely different I started to dig deeper: going out at night then trying to find what I was hearing in flea-markets and record stores. 

SDA became the main Influence in my musical life as well as being a huge Influence in starting the record label.

The Mix tries to showcase the musical spectrum at the Salon in these early days, from my perspective: the 2007-2011 era! This is different to the sound that came later and for which most people identify what Detlef Weinrich aka Tolouse Low Trax was playing. But of course other regulars like Vladimir Ivkovic or Tako where also a huge inspiration.

These are the tracks that I heard there, liked the most and wanted to include in my collection. I came back to them with joy each time and started to play them myself. Although most of them are not super obscure I don't hear them getting played out anymore. They are mostly real tracks, not specifically made for the dancefloor.

In this selection you can find music from Italian artists only, from different periods 1972 to 2019. The key was to chose records that impressed me particularly from the first listening, that aroused in me strong sensations and filled me with emotions, positive and negative too. It’s like a back path where you can find part of the music I came across in the years and which have enriched me a lot and deeply inspired me as an artist and music producer.

Veslemes : 13 tracks, no real mixing, from artists that truly shaped my sound. I have this habit of juxtaposing many genres in a single album of mine. Most people find it difficult to jump. 

From an acoustic ballad to a dry techno and then to a musique concrète piece. But this is the way I feel the music and its reflected also in this mix.

Since learning the ropes in Glasgow’s underground with early releases on Optimo Music and a residency at the famous Art School club, Thomas Lea Clarke aka https://soundcloud.com/mrtcmusic has spent the past 10 years delving into the recesses of experimental electronic club music with his own productions, playing live shows, doing some remixes, mixing and meeting a lot of people along the way. We first met in 2016 both spinning at a Blue Cheese party. These days he works at a radio station and tends to https://soundcloud.com/phasegroup, the label he started with Lo Kindre.

His hobbies are spending time on his own recording sounds, or to be with close ones, eating something good, having a drink and sharing a moment. He runs to keep fit and likes spending time in nature whenever he can. He's easily distracted, not sure if that’s a bad thing though - if he's good at working on multiple things at once, or bad at focusing on one thing at a time.

His mix meanders through some kind of dreamspace with ghostly appearances. He's in no hurry but quickly grabs you by the throat. 'Wherever you may go in life… just don't stop the dance'
