This is Stephan's fourth appearance on the label in less than a year, but the first
collaboration with Yotto. With distinctive but synergic sounds, both artists are renowned for their ability to imbue their music with rich musicality and captivating rhythms. On 'New Era’ we are invited to join an odyssey into the infinite field of consciousness. The title track has the typical Yotto rippling rhythm that gallops along while drawing you into its orbit, whereas a melodramatic signature Stephan Jolk riff infiltrates your heart centre. On the flip ‘Only One’ takes a
more unassuming approach, the sombre tones complemented by the main melody which is melancholic, but at the same time uplifting. Dance music with pure soul at its core.

Several Definitions - Orion

After showcasing his first work on the label for the Odd Echoes series, Losless returns with his debut EP ¨Second Life¨.

Opening the EP, the track ¨Away¨ already captures the attention with its rolling deep groove, quirky sounds and catchy melodies. The slow build up keeps the tension going through the track, and it’s released on the drop, where the more melodic pads and chords come in, and returns with a powerful bass triad synth stab.

Next it follows ¨Overthrow¨ a similar deep, melodic groovy cut, but with a haunting female vocal that follows on the track. You can listen to Losless mastering the craft of his productions with all the details along his music, that showcases his stamp.

Going deeper in the EP, we encounter the more melodic and emotional cuts. The melancholic pads and synths of ¨Isometric Past¨ takes you into a beautiful trip, while maintaining the energetic mood. 

Last but not least two versions of ¨Second Life¨ where the original version focuses on breaks, melodies and subtle voices fx. For the remix duties, Mark Hoffen, approaches his version on a more 4x4 take, full of energy and writing some beautiful chords and pads, that take this cut into another spectrum.

Julian Wassermann and Raphael Mader join forces to present their debut ¨Aversion¨ EP on Oddity. The collaboration between the two Munich based producers, is the first one signed to the label, showcasing 4 beautiful melodic tracks, and an emotive but energetic remix by the talented Artche.

The EP opens with the lead track ¨Aversion¨ where you can listen to the detailed work, sound design and catchy melodies that the two producers print to their productions, starting with the right foot in one of the most interesting collaborations yet on the label.

Going deeper into the EP, Julian and Raphael present us ¨Panic¨ and ¨Moment of Clarity¨ where they dig deeper into the realm of pads and melodies, creating two emotive pieces with catchy arpeggios, leads and profounds ambiences.

Artche jumps into the remix duties, reworking ¨Moment of Clarity¨ into a more groovy and energetic cut, still preserving the emotional elements, but printing his stamp into the rework.

To close the pack, the guys show us the more minimalistic cut ¨Panic¨ where the vocal cuts plays with the percussive elements and synths, creating a dance floor peak time groover.

Oddity is an imprint curated and delivered by Fur Coat, focusing on melodic house and techno. Having begun to drive his career and sound in a deeper direction, the realization of his own label has given him the best platform to showcase this.

“Starting my own label is something that I´ve had in mind for a long time. It’s a platform to express myself and have 100% the control on the art concept I want to put on each release, the music I want to show from myself and the artists I share passion for, giving me the ability to invite them onto the label.

The label is giving Fur Coat the opportunity to explore artistically and promises to give a platform to new artists that fit with the sonic direction, whilst also inviting heritage talent onboard for remixing.
