Stil & Bense feat. Orbit Aeolian return to the label for their 4th release. Their last outing back in February 2020 was received to high acclaim - with huge support from the big boy brigade at the time. With their long-awaited return to ICONYC, the duo delivers a slice of early spring vibes titled 'Signal in the Noise' featuring the wonderful vocals of Orbit Aeolian. The original track kicks things off nicely with its melancholic moodiness shining through as 80's inspired beats and harmonies are in full swing. The track twists effortlessly throughout, while Orbit's sultry vocals sit wonderfully on top adding an extra layer of depth. Another classy homecoming from Stil & Bense.

Matchy, who needs no introduction created a rework full of tension from the word go, as the 80's stimulated vibe keeps you moving with warm tinkling sounds, a smooth edge and some nicely effected sounding pieces. We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The sparseness is the key here, as this restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a warm glow, creating an air of sophistication. "Essential stuff!"

Next up is Allies for Everyone, the native New Yorker known for his polished sound, keeps the ethereal theme of the original alive, as the pulsating bass powers along, before its drum fills and general warmth all combine to do the talking. Like something from yesteryear, yet sounding fresh - This mystical touch up takes the energy levels up a notch, but increases the melancholy with stripped back and lucid elements at the same time, before the luscious pads grace the rework changing the vibe and creating a blanket of warmth that wraps around the effected groove.

Last but not least we have a remix courtesy of our favorite Canadian, Las Von who delivers a trademark electronica-soaked rework with infectious chords, laidback drums and smooth breakdown. It's all about the groove, cool downtempo vibes and the suave beats that are working their magic around Las Von's wonderfully arranged keys that create an irresistible vibe while taking the mind on a trip.

With 'Signal in the Noise' Stil & Bense feat. Orbit Aeolian really show that there're no boundaries, as this beautiful 80's inspired gem guides you to a full-on melodic hug of a release that will cause many smile induced moments! ‘The Secret Of Eos’ started with one of those special requests: Tale Of Us asked the Italian duo for something special for their weekly opening sets at Hi, Ibiza. The track was delivered and it became a key staple of their sets all summer.

You can instantly hear why; that crisp arpeggio, those lush shimmering pipes, the poignant chords and stunning vocal. A true scene-pace-tone setter, drop this and watch the whole crowd lock-in en masse as they submit to the journey… A journey that can be extended and manipulated to your pleasure thanks to the beatless version which highlights the musical versatility of the track and how it lends itself to any sets in the house/techno/progressive/trance axis.

For the final track of this remarkable EP we head far east for ‘Japan’. A much darker tale told by Daniele Aprile and Mario Roberti, this one firms our focus squarely on that lava-like bassline that morphs, mutates and melts throughout the track, taking us deeper and deeper into Fideles’ signature rabbit hole, to places unchartered.

Booka Shade open the New Year on home imprint Blaufield Music as they deliver their latest EP ‘Dear Future Self’ alongside spoken word artist and poet Lazarusman.

As we enter the start of another decade, German producers, live act and label bosses Booka Shade continue remain at the forefront of the melodic house and techno landscape, armed with their ever-evolving live set up, releases via legendary labels including John Digweed’s Bedrock, Suara and their own blossoming Blaufield Music, and stand- out performances at the likes of Amsterdam Dance Event, Brunch In The City, and Boiler Room’s very first Warehouse event in the Middle East at The Grid, Dubai. Having spent the closing half of 2019 at work in the studio and on the road to shape and curate a variety of musical projects, January welcomes the first in a series releases as the duo deliver a medley of original cuts in the form of their ‘Dear Future Self EP’, including a collaboration with South African artist Lazarusman, dropping ahead of a yet to be announced project on the label in the year ahead.

Hypnotic and warping from the off, ‘Dear Future Self’ balances wandering, off-kilter lead synths with refined percussion and Lazarusman’s ever-mesmerising lyrics, with the ‘Club Mix’ mix laying the focus on acid-tinged leads whilst the ‘Extended Mix’ harnesses deeper, soaring textures. Second original ‘Atlantic Beam’ engages rolling, organic percussion amongst sweeping melodies and blossoming stabs to reveal a rich journey through builds and breaks, offering an impressive first glimpse into a much bigger project still yet to come... stay tuned.

Welcome back Marius Drescher for our last release of the year! The Berlin-based producer processed a lot of emotions in his new three-tracker.

The title track "We Had It All" perfectly combines melancholy, drive and the urge to escape. "Last Time" is a very sad yet beautiful track with a catchy hookline and a lot of ecstatic moments. Last but not least we can hear the typical Drescher trademark sound with some 80s influences in "Distance", which perfectly closes the EP.

"We Had It All" will be out 18th of December.

After appearing for the first time on Odd Echoes 4, Moonwalk the Milan-based DJs and producers present us their debut EP on the label, a three original melodic and energetic cuts, with a fantastic and powerful remix by the Italian duo Undercatt.

The Neapolitan duo, Dario and Mauro, start the EP with the lead track  "Solaris" a rolling and grooving cut, with a haunting and catchy melody that stays in your mind right away.

On the remix duties we have another Italian duo, Undercatt. They approach the rework with their characteristic elements and sound design, turning the version into a deeper and melodic cut.

To continue with the EP, we have "Enigma", which aims more to dance floor peak time, with elements of Indie Disco influenced percussions. On the same vibe to close the pack we have "Delta", where you can also recognize the duo’s signature sound.

Oddity is an imprint curated and delivered by Fur Coat, focusing on melodic house and techno. Having begun to drive his career and sound in a deeper direction, the realization of his own label has given him the best platform to showcase this.

“Starting my own label is something that I´ve had in mind for a long time. It’s a platform to express myself and have 100% the control on the art concept I want to put on each release, the music I want to show from myself and the artists I share passion for, giving me the ability to invite them onto the label.
