What a first-class edition we have here! Sydney based producer George Alhabel, after a sophisticated progressive release on Mango Aley, is signing his debut EP for One Of A Kind!

Fully deservedly noticed and supported by the great artists, George Alhabel continues with a quality progressive groove and beautiful notes that penetrate into that old so-called euro-trance feeling.
To our great satisfaction, the "Wasps" tape he is signing is no less quality than his previous releases, even more so, perhaps his most promising song so far.

We complete the release with two phenomenal remixes, one of which was commissioned by the almighty AMPISH, a producer we shouldn't waste words on, because every true fan of progressive and trance music knows who he is. The second remix was in charge of the duo Around Us, which comes to us from Amsterdam, which are an indispensable part of the Dutch and world progressive scene in the last few years. Both remixes have their own signature, where with AMPISH you can expect a little stronger and sharper groove, while the melodies are an accompanying part of each of his songs, while Around Us gives importance to the ambience and emotion of the music of the song "Wasps"!

Kalmer - Left Behind (Extended Mix)

We are more than happy to welcome the German DJ and producer Lexer to Oddity, with his “Focus” EP making his debut on the label, accompanied by a remix from fellow native Jonas Saalbach.

Known for his ability to story-tell with his melodic productions, Lexer opens the EP with the track “Focus”. A track with a lot of groove and emotion that combines the best of both worlds, giving us a melodic piece full of energy, catchy chords and melodies.

On the remix duties, Jonas Saalbach, reworks “Focus” with a more aggressive and haunting touch. Adding new textures, drums and synths that play along with the original parts, making an alternative mix for the late hours of the night.

“The Sky Is Red” follows on the EP, a beautiful interplay of melodies and textures that follow each other throughout the slowly building track. Arp and synths play along to keep the interest and intensity growing on this melodic cut.

Last but not least, “Suffer” the deeper cut of the pack, drives us slowly with his groove and textures to the main hook of the track. When we get to the drop, all the emotions comes together with a heavy bass, and triad metallic synths, playing along a continuous arp and percussion, that creates the perfect weapon for the dance floor.

This collection of emotive compositions is an uplifting masterpiece. It begins with the title track “Guiding Light” that is comprised of an ever bouncing lead floating amongst a cleansing and carefree ambiance. The shimmery vocal pads delicately accent the hypnotic lead. Working together, like a warm blanket, they whisk the listener into a dreamlike state. “Nostalgia” is next up, perpetuating the cheerful progressions, using its own variation of a sparkling arpeggios dancing atop a sustained and grounding bassline. The most expressive track was surely saved for last in “ILY”.
