I strained my wrist playing guitar while practicing a new piece I hope to post in a month or two, so in the meantime I decided to freshen up a short piece I had on SC from a few years ago. It’s a simple melody, a musical meditation, towards peace; the dove of peace carries this message, through many cultures and religions. Peace is needed now, more than ever. Hope you may spend 2 minutes with me to meditate.
PS. Wasn't able to master this with clarity, so headphones/earphones best.

Sadness / Ein Stück, das die Tiefe von Trauer und die zarte Hoffnung auf Heilung einfängt. Mit bewegenden Melodien, atmosphärischen Klangteppichen und einer emotionalen Intensität entführt dieser Track in eine Welt voller Nachdenklichkeit und innerer Stärke. ‚Sadness‘ ist eine Erinnerung daran, dass in jeder Melancholie auch eine stille Schönheit liegt. The second song in our summer series; "A Shared Horizon..." takes us from the bare existence of cave dwelling and primitive art; to tribal society, city/state, and advancing civilization. But it has its pitfalls. Just as basic moral values are amplified for the good of society, there lurks in the shadows a growing evil of greed and lust for power, often by the very leaders placed in power.  It would become for mankind "the best of times and the worst of times".

No plans for the good, the safe and caring, where parental ties ever fearful, are left despairing.

Oddrun Eikli is the singer in Loops and Bridges. A project headed by Oddrun Eikli and Arne Hiorth. Oddrun Eikli sings, composes the melodies and writes the lyrics , Arne Hiorth does the arranging trumpet work and studio engineering.
