"Que reste-t-il de nos amours ?" What Remains of Our Loves?  This song was first recorded by the French female singer Lucienne Boyer in 1942. Music by Léo Chauliac and Charles Trenet and lyrics by Charles Trenet. A version of the song with English lyrics entitled "I Wish You Love" is recognizable by the opening line "I wish you bluebirds, in the spring".

My heart bleeds for those who suffer today, words become poor. 
Here is one of the old lovesongs, which was composed and recorded for the first time few years after World War II.

"When I Fall in Love" written by Victor Young (music) and Edward Heyman (lyrics). It was introduced in the film One Minute to Zero. 
Jeri Southern sang on the first recording released in April 1952 with the song's composer, Victor Young, handling the arranging and conducting duties. The song has become a standard, with many artists recording it; the first hit version was sung by Doris Day released in July 1952.

Recalling some tequila, love words and more with them in that Ibiza bar, I wondered: “What if Pink Floyd met the spirit of Camarón de la Isla… in my bedroom?” I used lots of guitars, basses, etc. on a 12/8 beat, to enclose 3/4, 6/4 & 8/8 rhythms along.

Estate (1960, Bruno Martino, music; Bruno Brighetti, lyrics) began modestly enough as an Italian pop song. At the time, few noticed that it was far from ordinary. However, its sophisticated harmonics and irresistible melody didn’t escape the attention of jazz musicians. Now it is a world standard with performances all over YouTube. Still, there is no definitive version that draws out every bit of its potential. Except for possibly now. Listen.

James Moody created his improvised solo in 1949 on a visit to Sweden. In 1952, jazz singer Eddie Jefferson wrote lyrics to this improvisation by Moody, a practice known as vocalese.This particular arrangement of the song did not come to be known by its now common title of "Moody's Mood for Love" until King Pleasure released a very popular vocal version in 1954. Following King Pleasure's successful hit version of "Moody's Mood for Love", Jimmy McHugh< /a>, who wrote the music for "I'm in the Mood for Love", sued for copyright infringement and won a partial victory in court. He and Moody eventually agreed to share the proceeds on sales of any versions of the tune.

It sure seems there's always malice in the palace. Either you’re in the palace causing malice or you’re trying to stop the malice. In both cases there's still malice in the palace. As subjects, we have to live with that malice, so get out and vote. And if voting doesn’t make a difference, get out there and storm the palace, but only for a cause I believe in, lol. 

I love roots reggae and am stuck in the period between '68 and '82. Don’t get me wrong, ska is great, and I lump rocksteady into my preferred period of reggae. And I am not saying I don’t appreciate later periods of reggae and dancehall. I did enjoy the 90s dancehall that often went along with golden era hip hop. But I will always like 70s roots reggae best. I must be old. 

Thanks SoundCloud friends for making roots reggae with me and helping me LARP my musical fantasies. You're all the best! May everyone live out their rock star dreams.

With great pleasure and excitement I want to invite you to this magical journey into the world of "Abracadabra!". This album took us a whole year to compose and record - from August 2019 to August 2020. When we were close to finishing it up, we faced this difficult choice - what track to select for making a music video. It was a challenge! This whole album was composed as a cinematic adventure, so, basically, any track from it can be turned into the music video. We ended up asking all the participating musicians for their favorite tracks. It was quite symbolic that "Time" - the opening track - won the majority of the votes. This music video is the result of few months of scouting for locations, shaping the costume, makeup and accessories, filming and editing. We all hope you will enjoy it.

I want to thank again everyone who was a part of this project: 
- Phil DiMercurio (aka PdubJamz) for his drums and percussion truly transformed the album.
- Yamaha Artist Yoed Nir for the wondrous cello.
- Award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter Alexa Ray for the amazing vocals.
- Producer of several Grammy-nominated artists, Matthew Shell, who supervised mixing & mastering of "Abracadabra!", Erik Fredriksen for mixing and Steven Vagovics for mastering.
- Anastasia Frenkel for drawing such amazing artworks for each track! Vibrant, mystical, haunting, surreal - just like we envisioned this album to be.

Singer and composer Blossom Deary always makes me smile.
There are so many things to worry about, but here is a musically hopeful smile in November darkness.

Margrethe Blossom Dearie (April 28, 1924 – February 7, 2009) was an American jazz singer and pianist.

I Tried To Warn You - Paploviante

A collaboration with Torbjørn Vagle and Jimmy Rivas.

I sent a demo of the song with the basic chord sequence to Torbjørn  and Jimmy in the hope they would consider joining me for another collaboration, Torbjørn to add his exceptional keyboards, Jimmy to write lyrics and provide his powerful and distinctive vocal, luckily for me they both agreed.

Torbjørn  and Jimmy’s contributions have lifted the song to a level way beyond my original demo, thanks very much for your outstanding work guys.

Triumph over adversity is the theme here, I think we can all relate.

Since starting back at school I l felt so lost and stressed. After being isolation for 2 weeks then also now being in lockdown and not being able to play football, go to work and do things that would keep me busy, i started to feel like shit. That’s when my guitar, a pen and a piece of paper came to the rescue and I created my new song “Its all in my head”.

Biografi
Oddrun Eikli is the singer in Loops and Bridges. A project headed by Oddrun Eikli and Arne Hiorth. Oddrun Eikli sings, composes the melodies and writes the lyrics , Arne Hiorth does the arranging trumpet work and studio engineering.
