An electronic music enthusiast, endlessly inspired by the art of the mixtape.  

21 years ago, Justin began DJing and remixing underground dance music in south Texas, USA.  Originally focused on Progressive styles of House and Trance, collecting and mixing vinyl records.  His taste evolved with introductions to breakbeats and bassline genres.  After the conversion to digital formats in the mid 2000's, he was DJing and producing an eclectic blend of dance sub-genres in a DJ style he dubbed as "Eclectica."  The goal of Eclectica is to be unpredictable yet digestible, not confined to any boundary.  Recordings from 2006 to 2011 were published under the moniker "DJ Just In Time"  but nearly a decade later, the quarantine of 2020 created an opportunity for the reinvention of JUSTiNTiME, compiling many forms of Bass music and recording eclectica mixes monthly.

Jay Bird‘s journey into house music began in San Francisco, where his passion quickly launched him into the city’s thriving DJ scene.

His rising talent led to signings with major labels like Tiesto’s Black Hole Recordings, Space Yacht, and Will Sparks’ CLUBLWRK, as well as a release on the legendary Toolroom Radio compilations. His music has earned support from global heavyweights including Alok, Mark Knight, Claptone, Jamie Jones, Marco Carola, and Shiba San.

Jay’s sound has reached worldwide audiences through airplay on Fedde Le Grand’s Darklight Sessions, Alok’s Controversia Radio, Diplo’s Revolution, Pitbull’s Globalization, David Penn's Urbana Radio, and KISS FM. Additionally, his songs have reached main stage crowds through major DJ play, including a rinse from Riva Starr at the mighty Defected Malta festival. 

On stage, he’s shared lineups with icons like Green Velvet,  LF System, San Pacho, KSHMR, and Habstrakt, cementing his reputation as a dynamic performer who can hold his own alongside top-tier talent.

As the founder of The Birdhouse, a record label, event brand, and artist mentorship community, Jay Bird is more than an artist; he’s a leader in the next wave of modern house music.
