Sassy J takes us on a ‘Quest’ traversing a colourful landscape of warm grooves and intriguing rhythms. We caught up with her to see how the recent year has affected her approach and perspective. Whilst describing the mix, she said ‘It’s a reflection of what I felt within the last year: The dense dynamic of different moods. Facing the turmoil around. Navigating and taking action. It may not be for everybody but Dub Techno when it's done well, is up there, in the higher echelons of electronic music. You wont really get it until you hear it on a proper sound system,  it just doesn't work on a phone or laptop. You cant flick through it either. Sassmouth is a DJ based in her longtime adopted home, Chicago. She playfully mixes all kinds of records with a focus on techno, house, acid and electro sounds. She created her label @god-particle-vinyl as a homage to this style of DJing- a place for friends to showcase music that connects the dots between all these styles of dance music. She is a rave mom and real mom and co-runs Walking and Falling- a mentor program for woman and non-binary music enthusiasts that want to learn to DJ. If you don’t see her in the booth she is very likely dancing her ass off by the front left speaker.

Our podcast series now turns to the vast and much mythologised record collection of Detroit native Carlos Souffront. Carlos often doesn’t get the recognition he deserves, except from those in the know, who accept and understand that he is a gourmet selector who reaches for only the finest records. As likely to reach for ambient and post punk as he is indie rock, experimental, house or techno, Carlos is a key part of the Interdimensional Transmissions parties in his home town and reportedly has one of the most bad ass collection of acid records in all the world.  The mix he turns in here is a freewheeling yet coherent round through many disparate sounds and scenes and needs to be heard to be believed.

We've just announced Love International 2021 and we've got an enthralling mix to get you excited! Night Sheen Records founder Josh Caffé gives us visions of being by the Adriatic sea.

Josh Caffé is an assured part of the underground acid house and techno scene. He is someone who has nurtured a close following of fans thanks to his varied, lauded DJ sets and live PA's.  He has laid down such sets at both cosy basement parties and larger festival gatherings such as Block 9 at Glastonbury. For those that were with us in Tisno in 2019 he also joined Paranoid London on the main stage for an unforgettable set. 

It's hard not to be bouncing around wherever you are with the sultry records played by Josh in this hour-long mix. Dipping our toes wet, we get a taste of Tisno... damn it tastes good!!!

"rRoxymore's leftfield sound comes from years of experience in different kinds of performance—she's played electronic percussion in a hard rock act, spun rare groove and hip-hop and soundtracked art installations. She learned the ropes of production in a garage in Montpelier some 15 years ago, mostly with an Akai S950 and an Atari. Later, in Paris, she took an Acousmatic Music & Composition course before moving to Berlin, where she lined up her first solo releases for Human Level, a label run by her friend Jam Rostron, AKA Planningtorock, with whom rRoxymore played on tour. She's since appeared on labels like Cómeme, Huntleys & Palmers and Nachtdigital, before further refining her style with the exceptional Tautologies EP for Macro. She was also part of a sort of egoless supergroup, Decon/Recon, alongside Rostron, Paula Temple and The Knife's Olof Dreijer, AKA Oni Ayhun."
