Introducing ONO Record's new mix series ONOMIX.

In the first instalment we'll be throwing back to March 2021 with a live recording of Guy Contact's fantastic set from our collaborative launch party with System. A near two hour excursion into his carefully crafted sound in the warehouse context.

Celebrating the hundredth Animix with some of Animalia's very own - a special live set recorded at the Animalia event in May by Ebbs n Flow (@ebbsnflow), the brainchild of Will Holden & Dashiell. Will is @undergroundcityloop, and one half the iconic Melbourne chuggy trance duo @hybridmn. Dash (@dashiell) has released solo tunes on Animalia, and also makes up one third of Animalia's very own boyband, Ménage (@menagerecords). 

In their new project, the two have paired together to create cheeky, steppy tunes which delve into tech house, garage & d'nb inspired sounds. Ebbs n Flow released a couple of tunes on Animalia's recent compilations and have much more in the works.. so happy to share this mix with everyone for number 100!

DJ life has quickly made himself well known in the underground music scene with his up tempo trance sounds and a generous handful of releases on acclaimed underground dance labels such as; Craigie Knowes, Potato Headz Records and more, DJ Life & Reflex Blue have since then started their own label label - Progress Earth - which is now a solid platform for their own quirky impulsive tunes to be aired on. 

You will be able to see him around Europe this summer at both festivals and smaller events this summer 👀

"Compared to my previous mixes, I cared a lot less about the obscurity or rarity of the records for this one but more about keeping a steady, unpretentious, fun energy (as a result, you hear almost constant kick drums throughout :p). I put in some classic 90s UK and US house/acid house records, blending some percussion, build-ups, and emotional vocals here and there.
