Making waves of acoustic research in the "quiet" outer suburbia of Connecticut, Anderson is anything but quiet. Now transplanted in Berlin, his sound is built on the inspiration of kinetic psychedelia, creating a fresh and progressive yet simultaneously nostalgic vibe. With a foundation in house and techno, Anderson's music draws from all realms of electronic music, blurring genre lines with a passion for audio experimentation. This unique approach is what continually evolves and matures his taste.

Currently, Anderson is closely affiliated with Wex Records, working alongside long-time friend Marco Malpeso. Under the Wex umbrella, they have produced a multitude of sub-labels to accommodate their expanding catalog of styles and sounds. These include Day By Day, Telomere Plastic, AHAAD, La Luna, and Trix Trax, each offering its own distinctive style.

With releases on Day By Day, Haws, Terrazzo Trax, Gene On Earth's Limousine Dream Compilation, Birmingham's Space Lab Rave Crew, Estonia's Gestalt Label, and his home base Wex Records, Anderson maintains a consistent workflow and release schedule. He also holds an arsenal of unreleased work, ready to surprise and delight listeners. Anderson returns on his label D.I.Y with its fifth release, the "Tanzfloora EP", a four-tracker designed for extended dancefloor moments. The title track, "Tanzfloora", encapsulates his knack for crafting infectious Minimal-House grooves with a distinct character.

Built on a rolling bassline and hypnotic drum programming, the track finds its soul in the catchy vocoder vocals—playful yet driving, they inject a robotic funkiness reminiscent of classic electro influences. The deeper synth pads stretch the atmosphere, subtly shifting while maintaining a locked-in groove that makes this one a sure-shot for peak-time play.

It’s one of those tunes that effortlessly bridges the gap between warm-up and full-send territory—inviting yet propulsive, detailed yet direct. Torture the Artist - your source for contemporary electronic music

Torture the Artist is a webzine, or a magazine made for the internet, geared towards those with a passion for contemporary electronic music, with subgenres including Techno, Tech House, Deep House and Eletronica, as well as a small amount of Indie and Alternative. Founded in 2014 by Holger Breuer, a German native and lover of the arts, Torture the Artist now consists of five team members from all around the world.

In addition to publishing interviews, music reviews, DJ charts and track premieres, the webzine hosts out a  podcast series called 'art:casts'. This medium gives DJs and producers the artistic freedom to highlight their different musical styles while not being restricted by factors such as setting, and connecting them to a wider audience. 

Being in its ninth year, Torture the Artist has gained a strong and active online support group, including music enthusiasts to label managers and artists themselves, creating a cohesive community with music as their bond.
