Brandon (Popboy) MacKnight,
I’m a producer, a rapper, an engineer. Mostly I’m an artist, from Canada.

You’re curious enough to read this? Dope! Firstly, I became a producer quickly as a kid. Music has always been apart of my life, I’ve sang in choirs, rapped in groups and most recently performed as a hype-man with Fauxing. Outside of vocals, I’m also an audio engineer, I Graduated from APRA, hosted at the world famous The Beach Pro Audio, in Calgary. 

In the DJ world, I DJ’d under different companies for a few years. Until I closed that chapter because I want to work for myself using my best skills (who doesn’t?)

Like the Fast and Furious story, “We need a team.” KrazeJay and I created Fauxing, a DJ+Hypeman music group. We held down parties from our hometown through the Rockies to some amazing clubs in Vancouver. We dropped a serious number of short-length DJ mixes; they can be found on SoundCloud, they could even be decent for a house party in a pinch. Just saying.

On my page you’ll find a number of songs from then, before then and after then. I play to my influences and my musical discoveries. I’m working on putting it out for you to enjoy. Or hate. Whatever you like. It’s entertainment, 💁‍♂️ Yet, it’s a form of art that I practice. Over time, I found the secret sauce that I’m polishing everyday. 

Somewhere here, I hope, you might find a reason to come back or invite a friend. If you happen to also live in the creative space, feel free to open conversation, I’m not super friendly and I’m working on it, lol. Sometimes, together — we can create something people love.
