Welcome back to the Magician On Duty Journey Series!

On this edition we welcome Deep Ghosh (@deep_schismic)

Deep (and yes, it really is his name) started his DJing journey in a sweaty club in Berlin back in 2017, where he witnessed his growing obsession for electronic music tip over from hobby to worthwhile passion. Since then, he has travelled to some of the dustiest and lushest corners of the globe from his hometown Melbourne to the beaches of Bali, from Black Rock City to the Tankwa Karoo of South Africa, from the mountains of Sinai to the Red Sea and beyond living out this passion. 

His musical selections are one of unabashed love of emotional, vocal melodies juxtaposition to the deeper end of the sonic spectrum, while showing the influences of his musical upbringing in rock music and pop culture as well as occasionally giving us peeks into the music of his ancestors.

While the world slowed down during the COVID-19 pandemic, Deep managed to stay engaged in his passion for music. Since 2020, he is one of the curators of the Flow Sessions long-format mix series. He is also co-organiser, curator and "rave engineer" of boutique gatherings such as UTOPIA Festival, as well as being involved in organizing Burner and underground gatherings in Berlin and Amsterdam (where he is based since 2020 in pursuit of his rather cosmic day job as a space engineer looking after climate monitoring satellite missions).

This mix really captures how I love to get lost in music, create emotional journeys and showcase some of my musical influences. It was one of those situations of being out in a magical corner of the world--on a boat, out on the turquoise waters of the Red Sea--with some of my nearest and dearest celebrating the birthday of a legendary woman, and opening the musical proceedings for a week of love laughter and riding the waves.

Welcome back 🦉

This edition is the first hour of a live recording from last thursday as we were collaborating for the first time with 'Le Salon Daome' in Montreal to celebrate the latest release of @madota 'Del & Roobah' out now on @saisonsmusique. I had the honour to warm up the night for them and it was truly a beautiful night from the beginning to the end. I hope you'll enjoy this mix as much as i had fun doing it. We are continuing to release amazing sets from The Nightsky Celebration, one after the other. They have become our obsession. Wow!

Drift off on the cosmic trip created by Goro and Lev Tatarov. We were so happy to have them perform together on the Karismatik stage, as they are family to us and, we were always big fans of their music. 

They are truly musical geniuses who understand how to elevate the audience. Bravo loves. The performance was spot on!

We can't wait to go back for a bit!!!!

Welcome, travelers! 🐪🧡 It is finally time to unveil our new, monthly podcast: Nomadic Journeys. This is our creative outlet where Nomaden crew, residents and friends will bring you a fresh, musical journey on the first Friday of every month (and in case of delays, maybe the occasional Saturday 🤓).

Nomadic Journeys #01 - Matiago

Today we travel around the world – Dutch producer El Mundo prepared a phenomenal Macuá for you, the Nicaraguan national drink that is named after a tropical bird. 

DJing and producing for more than 13 years, El Mundo’s music goes through the ears straight into the heart. He first got on international radars as one half of the duo with Satori, also producer and DJ also from the Netherlands.  

In 2012 El Mundo took the solo path again which led him to deeper and more mature sounds. Today he looks back on releases on imprints like Bondage Music, Get Physical, Underyourskin Records, Heinz Music and is touring around the world. 
 
As a philosophical and spiritual individual, El Mundo sees music and dancing as something worldly. He feels connected to every individual on this planet, so does he love music from all over the world. That’s why he calls himself „El Mundo“.  

If you feel the tingles when listening to his Macuá, you’ll know what he means by „connection“. We totally feel you Pim, thank you!

Oiseau de nuit — DJ & Producer who took his first step in music making in 2015. He find his inspiration through the electronic cosmos, where downtempo meets uptempo, where dub vibrations mingle with minimalistic reverie. A hypnotic fusion, seamlessly weaving together elements from the realms of Downtempo, Electronic, Dub, Minimal and Organic House.
