The song itself isn't very deep— it's about someone enjoying a break from a troublesome past, on vacation with a very strong beverage. The project files were corrupted not long after exporting the regular version (as opposed to the instrumental & acapella), so this is unfortunately the only version I can release, seeing as something would be better than nothing. ^^;

This was a "Track In A Day Challenge" I did alongside Auvenil last year, but then thought I lost it as the Ableton file was corrupted. Fortunately, I was able to reopen the project in Bitwig and bring the song back to life! Notably, every instrument comes from the Touhou Soundfont! This was called "Cowboys" in my drafts because the original song idea was about a cowboy who could only say, "I Am A Cowboy". I decided to make something a bit more intense, change the theme, and... here we are! 

Also, for whatever reason, my last original release (Turn Your Love Around) seemed to give people the idea that the vocals (which I recorded a year prior) were the only way I'd sing from now on. Which... no. Just. No. Long-time fans know I would never make such a drastic shift in the music I make without at least talking it out with the Oddities.

So, instead of encouraging people to read the description (a sadly fruitless endeavor), I decided that the next release was the time to remind folks that this is still how I always plan to sing— with power, passion, and love of this genre. So here it is!

…in fact, quite literally inspired. If you caught my Twitch streams as I worked on this, you'd hear how their Eurobeat Re:Bible album really shook me up and inspired me to make something more modern and less traditional. I think it's still pretty traditional, but it has some new elements I really like. What do you think?
