A long time coming, we are proud to present @athousanddetails at the helm of this month's ALT CAST.

Gustavo Lima, aka A Thousand Details can be considered possibly as one of the most important rising artist of Portugal ́s techno scene. In the recent years this Porto based producer has established himself at the forefront of Portugal ́s next generation of techno DJs. With releases in different labels, his home is ATD Records, a self-release label with a 100% Made in Portugal concept. Known for fast paced, dark and somewhat distorted rhythms this energetic and charismatic Dj is huge fan of hardware synthesizers, FXs, drum machines, Eurorack and his studio is own sanctuary of creation. Gustavo place emphasis on all crevices of the electronic music spectrum, which is reflected on side projects doing ambient and drone music and the sets he pieces together from his sound collection.

A Thousand Details has fast become recognized as a seasoned digger having the opportunity of playing throughout Portugal and at most of the major clubs in Porto such us GARE, Plano B as well as Neopop festival.

With a strong autonomous personality within the clubbing scene, ROI lives away from the madding crowd, surrounded by nature by the sea. From such an Atlantic source of inspiration, the possibility arises of concentrating on seeking expressive ways of atypical production in his approach. 
Philanthropist 2.0 in his city, passionate about the electronic drive and tireless promoter in constant struggle to maintain the Galician club culture, ROI champions his passionate mission, to a large extent, being an active part of the Fanzine project, which he co-directs together with The Panic Room. 
Famous for his powerful live sessions, in his you-to-you with the audience distills a whole melting pot of rhythms waving from the light. 
Elegance and power come together in off-road tracks, full of versatility, where he moves like a fish in water within the chromatic stylistic whirlwind that he cultivates in his overwhelming sonic laboratory. 
In the songs that define the path sown in his sessions, we can see his personal revolution: from rural isolation to the return to the urban barricades of rhythm. There is no truce in experiences loaded with beats, sharpened to the bone and drunk with narcotic atmospheres. 
This ambition is nourished by a body of work tiled with obsessive detail, drawn with the desire to expose the emotional grooves of his rich stylistic palette. Achievements of a trajectory that has yet to leave noteworthy new chapters written in a not too distant future.

Lino Monaco and Nicola Buono, is born in the first half of 90’s. This duo,placed near the Vesuvio (Naples), explored all the capabilities of analogic synths since the beginnings, developing an its own idea of sound.

The undifferentiated manipulation of sounds extracted from modular and digital synths or objects/environment sound’s recording, leads this original duo to a continuos research of a sonic identity. Retina.it’s music has been released from labels such as Hefty Records (US) , Mousikelab (Italy), Flatmate/Storung (Spain), Glacial Movements (It), Substrato, Konstrukt . 

They have worked with different personalities of music business and visual arts, such as John Hughes, Marco Messina, Claudio Sinatti, Gabriella Cerritelli, Giorgio Li Calzi , Red Sector A. Moreover, the deep live-performing activity has led Retina.it to share important stages of International contest (such as Storung, Sonar)with prestigious artists like Kraftwerk, Matmos, Telefon Tel aviv, T.A.G.C., Rechenzentrum , Oval, Noto, F. Fabrizio Lapiana is a well-known fixture on the contemporary Italian techno scene. His musical career started in his hometown Rome where he began collecting vinyl and DJ’ing in the early 90’s. After being mainly active on the local scene, Fabrizio in 2008 started producing and founded his own imprint, the well renowned Attic Music. The label quickly expanded from hosting just Fabrizio’s work into also releasing other artists fitting his personal definition of techno. To date Fabrizio has over two handfuls of releases, Attic Music serves as home to some of these, but also other respected labels such as ARTS, Figure Jams and M_Rec Ltd to mention a few. His productions are often dark and hypnotic, yet at times they have brighter melodious elements, with each of these components smoothly entering as the tracks unfold. However playing records to a live audience is still his favourite element. Fabrizio has honed and perfected his deejaying skills for over two decades, therefore being famous for his immaculate mixing technique. To create the setting he prefers, his sets travel from deeper to harder techno, darker pieces are introduced to more melodic ones and acid or old school gems get updated with new unheard material – these are some of the key ingredients for Fabrizio while creating an intimate journey for the listener. 

Lapiana’s latest achievement as a composer is his debut album “Intraverso” released in February 2018. With this collection of nine songs the artist departs from his previously dancefloor-focused work into something new and far more personal than where he has ever been before. The album shows slower, down-tempo, ambient influenced and more thoughtful compositions, unraveling light, darkness, happiness and sadness. “Intraverso” reveals an artist shedding another layer of himself, showing a softer more vulnerable side to the world.

Born in Warsaw, he has been closely associated with the club culture of the capital of Poland for over a dozen years. The heavy sounds extracted from the black plastic disc inspired him to do more, to go a step further and create his own music. He sought inspiration in crowded cities and the correlation of nature with industrialized society. In music, he looks for something that is not obvious and still to discover. He is focus on his original productions, where you will find a rich mixture of dense industrial atmosphere, off beats sounds and monumental film music elements driven by energetic kick. 

Today, he is a member of Elite Music Management, he releases his music on VSK's CRS ltd, Secret Keyword or Newrhythmic Rec. to name a few and his performance can be found in most clubs in Europe.
