Nørbak’s crucial role in today’s techno environment derives from a strong sense of commitment and hard working attitude which he guides towards his musical passion. The Portuguese artist makes use of a thorough knowledge of classic techno and fuses it with modern sound design, the result of which is a signature sound that has seen worldwide support from tier-1 artists and mammoth labels such as Soma Records, Warm Up Recordings and Mord.

His continued evolution and forward thinking posture can be felt deeply in his debut album ’Flesh to Ashes’, where he seamlessly combines a dancefloor attitude with the experimentalism of IDM, but also at Hayes Collective, a tour-de-force techno label where he is a pivotal member.

Lastly, Artur’s progress and musical prowess have brought with it the opportunity to collaborate with artists he respects, namely Pfirter on ‘Life, Truth, Freedom, Fear’ (out on Mindtrip Music), Lewis Fautzi, for whom he remixed ‘State of Pressure’ (out on Soma Records) and Oscar Mulero.

Diogo Lopes, más conocido como STNDRD (Montalegre, PT) inició su trayectoria en la música Techno en 2018 con algunas referencias como STNDRD y Simbiose (dúo). STNDRD es conocido por su sonido mental, hipnótico y oscuro en sus producciones.

Su música ha sido publicada en sellos como lDynamic Reflection, Children Of Tomorrow, Subsist, Edit Select, INNSIGNN, ATD, TMM, R3volution o Selected Records por nombrar algunos. En 2020, STNDRD lanzó BAHN· Records, junto con el colectivo BAHN· donde es miembro activo desde 2019.

Diogo ha demostrado sus habilidades en varios clubes de Barcelona, donde ahora está afincado, además de tocar en diferentes ciudades europeas como Oporto, Braga, Berlín, Sofía, Amsterdam, Cluj Napoca o Luxemburgo.

Anika Kunst born in Granada, spent more than twenty years perfecting her intuition, technique and buildiing up a vinyl collection which oscillates between timeless techno and the most select house, making the most of the nuances that exist between said genres and all their sub-genres have to offer.

She founded her label, Chapter Records in 2014 and she has recently released an EP ‘Different Approach’ EP on RSPX (Rekids Special Project) and some releases on Symbolism, Ben Sims' label.

Arnaud Le Texier es DJ/productor y propietario del sello Children Of Tomorrow con sede en Londres. La carrera de Arnaud se remonta a 1990 cuando comenzó a administrar tiendas de discos y a construir lo que ahora es un enorme archivo de conocimiento, gusto y dedicación musical a su nombre. Su residencia en el Queen de París y sus actuaciones memorables en todo el mundo perfeccionaron las habilidades de DJ de Arnaud, lo que le valió su lugar en la escena mundial, donde continúa siendo una figura destacada hasta el día de hoy. Desde 1999, Arnaud produjo diferentes EP y remixes para Soma, Edit Select, Children of Tomorrow, Affin, Symbolism, Materia, Cocoon, Suara, entre otros. Arnaud ha pasado años cultivando su techno crudo único con un sonido trippy e hipnótico que muestra sus excepcionales habilidades de producción. Desde 2013 Arnaud también produce con Antonio De Angelis bajo el alias de Detect Audio. Arnaud es uno de los auténticos veteranos de la escena musical underground londinense. Ha estado haciendo bailar a la gente con techno puro y ritmos explosivos en todo el mundo durante los últimos 30 años.

Denise Rabe joins for DifferentSound Podcast #216.

Denise Rabe´s experience in the Berlin techno scene as a booker, radio host, promoter and dj since she relocated to German capital drawn by the possibility of a life in music, is reflected in the pragmatic, grounded artist she became and the unique, original voice she's developed as a producer. Her approach and work ethic can be seen expressed on every release she's done under her label, Rabe, where her music is matched with an equal amount of care, thought and work, in the vessels that contain it, within a coherent aesthetic and vision that informs music, artwork and presentation equally.

This has allowed her to recruit the artist who´s work resonates with her sensibility and can be heard in the remixes Rrose, Shxcxchcxsh, Headless Horseman, among others, have done for her releases on her and other labels. Imprints such as Mutewax, who released her first 12" in 2015, ARTS where she quickly became one of the label´s staples and Stroboscopic Artifacts where she published "Manifesto" in 2019, are clear reference points that describe her career and its development. 

Rabe’s particular inclination to sparse industrial soundscapes, gothic aesthetics, driven grooves under hooks that hypnotize as much as they distinguish, have propelled her 10 year career across stages all over the US, Asia and Europe, as well as the clubs that represent the apex of techno world wide such as Berghain and Tresor.
