Portuguese scfi maker Lewis Fautzi is here again with his very own recipe about how the music of the future should sound like.


His style has evolved to harsher territories lately, with distortion appearing as one of the main components here.
First cut Induced Pulse is a broken groove exercise, with pounding kicks and vocal samples providing the introduction while obscure components join the march as the minutes go.


Undirected differential goes straight to the point from the beginning, with obsessive sequences running across a solid paced rhythm. The synth line evolves continuously, changing the filter frequency, mutating and constantly changing.


B side opens with Intense Mechanism ,in a galactic mood with one bar arpeggiated sounds, modulated wisely running over a blurred and distorted drum line.


Last slice is Stimulated Desorption, again hypnosis and repetition as leitmotiv with similar sound components as the previous one but with a more shuffled drum approach.

Argentinian master Jonas Kopp joins Nørbak for the sophomore release on NRBK, Slower Than This One. The result is a propulsive journey through a fulminating reverberation chamber, embodying the principles of devastating sound design and processing both artists have become known for. Urgency, dense textural elements, and a relationship between imploding and exploding space dominate the EP, complemented by a reverb-rich architecture for dizzying and terse percussion. Interruptions by precipitate atmospherics appear out of the ether, calling the listener to action. The effect is a chaotic, high inertia journey heavy on tension and incendiary motifs.

Sublunar, the label curated by Sciahri, is pleased to present the last part of the
Corpora trilogy.
Part three opens with Oscar Mulero, the legendary Spanish artist who certainly
needs no introduction, owner of Warmp Up and Pole Group, with the track “Water”.
Adriana Lopez, the South American techno queen based in Spain, founder of the
Gray Report label, also known for her releases on Stroboscopic Artefacts, Modularz
contributes with “Nudo”.
She follows Kangding Ray, owner of Ara, one of the most influential artists of the
modern electronic scene and also known as the one-half of the Neo Chambers duo
alongside Sigha, with the track “Polyglot Blues”.
Finally Desroi, the German artist known for the releases on his Desroi label, affiliated
with Avian, Semantica and for the collaborative project with Sciahri released on Non
series, Semantica itself and Mord, closes the ep with “In Rites”.
In the digital only version we find Donor, who after having already released the Ep Void
Century in 2018, contributes with the track "Human Code".

We just can't get tired of debuts. But if some of them are newcomers, somehow recents in the scene, this time we welcome the spanish artist Ribé, a skillful producer with a full luggage of outstanding works who has been through an extreme makeover in 2015. 

The decision he has made to dedicate himself to modular synthesizers, as it is what he loves the most, changed his career entirely and helped him taking a step forward and stablish himself as one of the great revelations of the spanish scene. The raw beats and, as referred before, the modular sounds are his trademark and are present throughout the four tracks he brings us in this "Nom de Plum EP" which promises to echo in our heads for a long time.

Known for his work under many aliases (Komatssu, Selección Natural) and for being one half of Exium, with his solo project TENSAL the artist explores a more instinctive approach to sound arising from a modern vision of techno. 

Recorded entirely analogically, Forgiveness of Blood is the perfect demonstration of his vision; With an ambient intro to ease the listener into the experience, the EP moves through the raw and scratchy sounds that have always distinguished both KR3 and the artist himself. 

The reference to the 12” dynamic and rough rhythms is also clear in the artwork curated by Chianjna.

CONCEPTUAL is the musical journey of Berlin based producer Simone Scardino, a sci fi techno specialist well seasoned with releases on the best scientific labels out there. His approach on techno comes apart from trends and superficiality, it always has an underlying message and it’s made with detail and intelligence.
 
This extended EP is not for the faint hearted, it requires some knowledge about intrincated soundscapes and requires attention and long term vision to capture the feeling properly. It can be completely beatless and atmospheric as the open title Ninna Nanna For Bad Children or super rhythmic like Me Medesimo where broken and bass heavy beats combine with elaborated textures exquisitely sound designed to cause the required damage on the dancefloor.
 
Højer is traversing similar terrain, but this time based on a 4/4 beat, rugged and distorted, metallic and industrial, a no mercy weapon for the darkest sound spaces.
 
On the B side, Not An Easy One gives another ration of proper non conventional dancefloor action, again with a well balanced combination of groove and texture.
 
 I Always Feel Like Somebody’s Watching Me closes the release changing the approach completely going hypnotic instead of muscular, with a complex drum work spiced with super-treated synth lines in constant change.
 
The sound of the future experienced today, made by a visionary.
