Linn Elisabet - Dysphoria Carry Me Home EP

47 revisits German artist OAKE’s seminal track “Paysage Dépaysé” in a special remix EP.

OAKE have established themselves as flagbearers for dark electronica in the years pursuant to their EP on Downwards in 2015, making cinematic dance music for imprints across the experimental-industrial axis—including a solo effort on 47 in 2019. After a series of standout early releases, the artists put out one of their canon-defining tracks, “Paysage Dépaysé,” as part of the Monad XXIV EP for Stroboscopic Artefacts. Now, it receives the remix treatment on 47029 with three dynamic and radically divergent approaches to OAKE’s atmospheric and deeply melancholic inaugural work, which will be pressed to vinyl for the first time.

The newly remastered original song is a post-industrial dirge that weaves OAKE singer Konstanze Bathseba Zippora’s otherworldly vocals over a noisy mothswarm of electronics, but label veteran Killawatt revs the first version’s subdued threnody up to a dance floor-friendly techstepper. On the B-Side, remixer Lemna uses a more restrained style, enshrouding the instrumentals under a martial sashay of tribal breakbeats, while 47 newcomer Quelza brings the collection to a ruminative close by bending and breaking Zippora’s virtuosic solo through a latticework of glitched-out synths and percussive stabs. PWCCA returns home in our new physical release with his trademark sound, always focusing on a futuristic and sharpened point of view. He is undoubtedly one of the most prolific actors in the techno scene always searching on new expression channels thru electronics. This extended EP provides us with six pieces, with two ambiental interludes alternated with four danceable experiments, rugged, precisely distorted and abstract. After the dreamy Intro, Unreal Element moves on to undiscovered territories with a relentless exercise made of rhythmical components spiced with expertly crafted textures. On Unnatural Register he swaps obscurity for space travels in a bleepy and alien cut while Unexpected Result goes phrenetic again, raising the tempos and relying on repetitive synth lines with adrenaline as the main message. Irregular Frequencies is the next exercise, combining sci fi with distortion and industrial flavors on a perfect hybrid. After the dance floor hysteria Outro says goodbye in a floaty mood. Expertly designed dancefloor tools and weapons for those in search of excellence.

We are back with the sixth installment of the Mutable Minds V/A series, nearly a year and a half after our last one. This special 4-track edition is courtesy of four newcomers on the platform: Lidvall, Gresil, Vertebral & Playmo.

	Tbilisi-based, Lidvall opens Mutable Minds VI with "Bell'', the ideal prelude to the hypnotic journey you have just embarked on. Next up, Argentina’s Gresil makes his debut on MindTrip with a neutral, abstract, rhythmic track dressed with proper intensity. The mysterious Vertebral hits the deeper side of things with his atmospheric ‘‘Road Trip‘‘, while Playmo (from the Faroe Islands and after remixing Pfirter on his side project Paralelo) takes over the concluding chapter with his enigmatic, modular trip on "Course".

	We find this Mutable Minds project to be particularly special as it fuses the musical prowess of world-class producers with the genre of electronic music, while introducing new artists to our roster. We hope you enjoy it as well.
