@cardowav tracks watched his father spin records as a child and became inspired and influenced by this. 

At the age of 15, everything started to get more serious, and he fell in love with the Techno scene.

He distinguishes himself by his deeper and more abstract style behind the turntables. His specialty is to slowly build up his sets and then move on to heavier records to ideally warm up for the artists after him. On the other hand, he can also close a night by moving even more towards the deeper, faster and more spacey side of Techno.
The best in himself comes out in a dark and intimate club with a good sound system and the right people. He likes to do longer sets, to show all sides of himself. He has national and international experience, playing in clubs like Paradiso, Panama and Zeppelin Club (Castellón, Spain).


Production wise things are starting to get more serious now too. He started his own label "COMPLOT”, and his records are already supported by names like: ROD (Benny Rodrigues) and Sterac (Steve Rachmad).

On the 29th edition of our mix series we have special guest, Paraguay-based artist Victoria Mussi. She is the co-founder of Inbetween label and nightclub Tango in her hometown of Asunción. She has released a number of high quality EP's and an album in the last years (our favorite being the Paradies EP), appeared on the giant compilation "100 Years Of Colombia" alongside Amanda Mussi and she has appeared on Knob Twiddlers Hangout alongside Inland, P. Lopez and Speedy J.

We've been looking forward to sharing her set for some time now. She has a very interesting and daring take on electronic music, one that fits right in our alley and that we think you will enjoy :)

Welcoming Malcolm Flex to the ZEMENT podcast series was long overdue. Thus, it's an even bigger pleasure to finally feature this great new talent and truly wonderful person. The Berlin based DJ channels his approach to club music into what he calls 'Techno Soul'. And there couldn't be a better term to describe his unique form of story telling, as his mixes expand into soulful journeys that sonically display nothing less but the experience of human life. Rocío Portillo is an electronic music producer, DJ, and singer. She is also a brave, grateful, and conscious woman. Her full-time passion for music came after overcoming cancer, which made her hold on to life.

At 25, she obtained a degree in Social Communication and since then, she has worked in prominent media outlets in Mendoza. In 2024, after battling leukemia for five years and focusing on her recovery, she gave up her career as a journalist to dedicate herself solely to music for a while.

During the summer, a tour took her to the main electronic music stages across Argentina: Rosario, Buenos Aires, Bariloche, Córdoba, and Mar del Plata. Before that, with the help of an agent and her own promotion, she planned her first European tour, performing in cities across Spain, Italy, Germany, and France.

With an elegant and sober style, Rocío steadily advances as a leading female figure in electronic music. She proudly says she is part of the line-up of festivals where her own role models also perform: among others, Hernán Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Sasha or John Digweed.

Her mother’s encouragement, which led her to take singing, dance, theater, and piano lessons, along with the support of her father, a choir director, invited her to explore the possibilities of art and the diversity of music. In her performances, she combines original pieces with hybrid sets where she includes her own voice.

As the founder of Krill Music, Espen Lauritzen has wasted no time in brandishing his driving style of techno. Though coined from Espen’s new residence in Europe (as of 2010 from Argentina), the label’s importance for the history of the South American dance-music scene can be seen as objectively invaluable - its foothold dating back to 2011 . With the help of the now established DJ and friend, Jonas Kopp and Argentina’s infamous Cocoliche club, Lauritzen and his label have risen through the ranks, maintaining a solid position of notoriety in contemporary techno. Since moving to Europe in 2010, Lauritzen’s output has naturally refined itself. Constantly producing, yet seldom releasing, the Argentinian has an admirable trait of releasing at the right place and right time. F/T/S landed on London-based label LDNwht maiden release (curated by Gareth Wild and Dax J) back in 2014, which has since become an underground goldmine for DJs, presenting itself in the form of various artist releases. So effective was the release that it picked up some serious support from Berghain resident Fiedel who has since featured the track (along with id B) in his latest mix for Ostgut Ton . Such was the belief in the Norwegian-cum-Argentinian, Espen started off 2018 DJing for Berghain’s Klubnacht, hosted by Fiedel. Having proven his hand at being label boss, DJ and producer, Lauritzen’s efforts at the three always seem to be shifting its emphasis. Krill has proudly released over 11 records and with a roster boasting the likes of Jonas Kopp, Stanislav Tolkachev, Matrixxman to mention but a few, the legacy of Krill and Espen Lauritzen continues to prove itself - all at the hands of the ambition of the man behind it all.

I am just a dude who has a passion for putting poetry into lyrical motion, flavoring it with that good ol’ flowing boombap goodness. I’m taking hip hop back to basics, telling stories, and overloading it with soul, substance, and lyrical depth. 

I just love music, your mom, writing, and being a general socially anxious manic depressive weirdo trying to navigate the world best I can. 

Every now and then I tend to fall into some rabbit holes, fall off the earth for a bit, fall inside your mom a couple times a day, and/or get weirdly wonky with anything house/techno/psybient/LoFi/trip hop/ etc.
