6 demo tracks using patches from my "Kraft Tribute" sound pack available via Arturia's new Sound Store. All sequence, drum, and sound FX parts are done on the Modular V. Most of the lead, bass, string and pad sounds are done on the Prophet V, with the exception of Autobahn, which (save the "KlangPiano" sound) is all Modular V, and features its soft clip/overdrive setting that emulates the Minimoog's overdrive characteristics quite well.

Kraftwerk Demos for Arturia "Kraft Tribute" sound pack

The JMJ Tribute sound set is now available from Arturia. This track contains three pieces (Chants Magnetiques 1, Equinoxe 1, Equinoxe 6), featuring the amazing Arp 2600V,  ModularV (mostly for drums/percussion this time) and SolinaV. No other sound sources were used. Note: The glissando in Equinoxe 1 is coming from the patch, not MIDI notes! Using the Quantizer in the Sequencer section.

Recorded in "real time" in Live with multiple instances of the two synths to allow tweaking each part as it is running.

High quality beat created with a handful of samples and loops from one of my all time favorite electronic artists. 

The samples originate from instrumental Vanilla tracks and are played using an M-Audio Axiom 25 through Native Instruments Kontakt.
 
The drums in this track are a mix of the original drums from the sample track, and some of the drums from Native Instruments Battery 3. All triggered with an Alesis SR-16 via Ableton Live midi tracks.

The live keys are played using only my Yamaha S-90.
Midi keyboards Axiom 24 was used to trigger sample playback and pitch shifting.

Something a little different from me on this account anyway ;-)
I have always been a huge fan of Vangelis and this was one of the very first tracks i heard from him. I learn so very much about making music and how a simple simple melody can when used creatively be quite epic in nature.

++++. PROFILE NOTES ++++

Once a wannabe, not yet a has been.

It had been over a decade since I put together a song,
and for that matter basically walked away from music altogether.
Losing hope that I would ever have the time to put into music again,
I finally gave away my 3rd music studio.
I ran across SoundCloud around 2013,
and thought I might take what few songs I had recorded, 
and lay them to rest there.
And there they languished.

HOWEVER, around 2017 I went back to SoundCloud
and began listening a little more and a little more,
and actively taking a part in visiting the sites
of so many wonderful musicians and beautiful songs.
Also, more and more often I would discover that these artists
were blossoming everywhere around the world,
and most definitely worthy of high praise and compliments.

Then suddenly, these old dead soundtracks right here
began to have a bit of life breathed back into them.
From the kind words that began to come trickling in,
I thought, maybe, someday I might give this music thing a try again.

The thing that finally pushed me into action
was a particular SoundCloud artist…Sander Heerings,

Not only was he encouraging,
but he began faithfully responding to a few questions,
then a barrage of them.

The final result seemed to be that after a couple of months,
the Old Grinder now has a 4th studio and, finally, a new song.
I hope there may be many more to come.

Thank you Sander, and to the multitude that have dropped in
to listen to these old songs, 
and most of all, for perking up my spirits.
