Asymmetric chief Inigo Kennedy returns to his label with a top quality five track EP 'Seasonal Debris One', the first of a two-part series to close 2023.

From the skittering and evocative pads of opening track 'Neon Flashbacks' to the irresistible pump of 'Guiding Star' the release gets off to a captivating start. Centering the release is 'Disorientated', a truly mind-melting layering of sounds absolutely made for losing yourself in the dark. 'Crystal Caverns' places delightful rotating melodic shards against an irresistible rhythm and acid-like bass. Closing track 'Gritting My Teeth' is a heavy slab of menacing techno, setting the scene perfectly for the second release of the series.

Some of you may be old enough to remember a blog called Mnml Ssgs. They asked me to do a mix and said I had free reign over the musical choice, which I thought was odd given their narrow coverage. Anyway, I took them at their word and submitted this. It was not received well and they declined to use it. I think they thought I was taking the piss, which I wasn't really - I just played a bunch of tracks I loved which bore no resemblance to the kind of music they usually published.

Labour Jacks is a new sublabel of One Eyed Jacks focusing more on techno and club tool, with artworks based on found, accidental art created by labour. The first few releases will showcase glue patterns found in ripped off plaques, where the gesture of the glue application by workers can be quite beautiful and graceful, even if unintentionally.
