Adam Beyer’s new EP titled ‘Teach Me’ is an accomplished piece of work that highlights Beyer's year thus far. 'Teach Me' starts with some eerie chords before the distinctive vocal kick in and the track drops into a rumbling techno track. ‘Darlek’ uses rhythmic beeps and huge synth stab to create a funky rhythm before the atmospheric pads create a beautiful setting for this incredible techno track. ‘Stop Talking’ is a deeper offering from Beyer using weird and unusual noises to create and interesting piece of work that is helped along by the throbbing bass underlying in the track. ‘Spaceman’ uses a rhythmic vocal, percussion and sub bass to turn this track into a funky techno piece.

<p>Alan Hash makes his Evolution debut and the title track&#8217;s cavernous vibe comes together with the help of streamlined synths and haunting elements interspersed throughout, as the shuffling rhythm section ensures that the locomotive is running smoothly.&nbsp; On &#8220;Candy Kush&#8221; we are welcomed by bubbling sub bass and an array of more loopy electronics.&nbsp; A clever arrangement guarantees maximum impact, which also acts as a welcomed balance to the claustrophobic ambience.</p>

Florida Music’s 33rd reference is delivered by the mind behind the platform itself, Andrés Campo. The enigmatic track titles of each song are, as the title of the EP suggests: numbers. 091, 136, 013 & 006 make up the ep and are best described as intensively percussive, powerful and very physical, with atmospheric touches and a progressive narrative.
Opening the EP is 09, a track that opens with powerful and loose percussion and interesting metallic and watery sounds that remind us of the oppressive environment inside a submarine. A dancefloor killer in its own right. 136 follows, opening with same energy and intensity of its predecessor it continues with atmospheric touches and an acidic Martian synth-line and metallic effects.
013 has a tighter percussion and strong minimalist feeling. Melodic touches dominate the soundscape and morph as the tracks progresses, turning it a cacophony of sound. Finally, closing this EP we find 006. A softer opening, it soon reveals itself as a master combination of effects, percussion and alien synth melodies together with those metallic and fluid sounds that we subtly find throughout the entire EP.

Nadir Agha aka Ostrich found passion for art, especially in music and films. It wasn’t until 2003 when Montreal-based artist Ostrich explored the depths of his talents as a DJ, producer, and an aspiring filmmaker. His sound carries various flavors of techno, that is bound by deep house, categorizing itself as deep tech-house / techno. His narrative approach to DJ sets under the Ostrich moniker, allows his art to speak through music. His first release generated a lot of interest and was released on Bosphorus Underground.

Dabbling on remixing duties throughout the past few years, Ostrich produced cuts for Argentinean label, Miniatura Records, Mexico’s Dialtone Records, in addition to Toronto-based labels such as Madexx Recordings & Open Concept Recordings. Summer of 2009 marked a giant leap when Ostrich and longtime friend / studio partner Maher Daniel signed “Haute Couture” to Tiefschwarz’s imprint, Souvenir Music. This release garnered lots of praise and was played by the likes of Richie Hawtin and Seth Troxler, including being featured on John Digweed’s Transitions radio show as well as selected for Andre Galluzzi’s mix CD compilation, “The Sound of Berlin 2010”.

In the summer of 2008, Montreal gave birth to a series of events called 13 PERCENT. Thriving to showcase select events in which the creation of electronic music and digital art becomes accessible to a broader public. Founder, curator, and resident DJ, Ostrich has hosted numerous events and invited international guests such as Martin Buttrich, Cassy, Mathias Kaden, Daniel Bell, and Joel Mull to name just a handful.
