Radial - Shinoba

Slam bring light to their Paragraph imprint with the floor-shattering 'Cadence' release. 

'Cadence' is as tough and as noisy as you'll find Slam today. Sitting on the outskirts of Techno, the Glaswegian pair push the envelope of their style and production, utilising a grit they have worked on for over twenty years.

The deeper of the two tracks ,'Remain', still packs a punch. While preserving the rumbling low-end that binds 'Cadence' together, 'Remain' bears a fathomless form that allows that dizzying, cosmos moment in longer sets. 

This powerful two tracker from Slam is a welcome return for Paragraph.

It has been over 6 years since Anton Pieete and Jeroen Liebregts have released any collaborative material under their Museum name, but now finally they are back. This 3rd release of the Radial Records catalogue is the first of a series of EP's from the duo. Both of these artists have made a transformation towards analog hardware instruments over the years, these tracks are the total sum of putting together their heavy machinery and their minds: the ultimate mixture of dark roughness and funk.

!Organism looks all the way to South Africa for its next EP from fast rising talent D_Know, with a fine remix from Re:Axis completing the package. 

D_Know has an undying passion for global music culture and is a key part of Do Work Records. He has also released on ARTS Records and East Recordings and has been on national radio many times. He takes cues from IDM, jungle and trance and is one of the residents at Das Kapital's Overtime in Cape Town, so you are sure to be hearing a lot more of him in 2017. 

First up here, 'Clone' is a mightily powerful tune with surging synths and drums racing along, hypnotising you in the process. It is all about building pressure and working the groove so that dancefloors are totally locked under D_Know's masterful techno spell. 

Then comes the deeper and more cerebral 'Golden Key,' which is about eerie synths, rolling drums and rubbery bass. This one is widescreen and cinematic with plenty of intrigue in the haunting sound design. It then gets remixed by Re:Axis, a Portuguese producer with formal playing skills, a celebrated discography and a singular techno sound. His version is smooth and slick, spaced out and minimal with bleeping sonar pulses and raw claps carrying you off into the galaxy. 

For heady techno dancefloors, there can be no better EP than this one.

Tabulat introduces its second release by Belgian techno-prodigy Klaps, including a stellar remix by Hush & Sleep [Second State, Etruria Beat, Suara].

After being extensively supported by Pan-Pot on his debut track "Captivating", Klaps lands his first full release on our imprint. His "Kwijt EP" is a spotless representation of the bass-heavy and acid-flecked sound he stands for. 

The title track "Kwijt" immediately sets the tone for the sound that Klaps has to offer. This dark gem gets characterized by its penetrating sub-bass and metallic percussion on top. Short and steep mini-breaks keep the momentum on pace while the main break smashes into a dazzling crescendo. 

"Quak" is the second offering of the release. Klaps' signature sound of filthy acid comes through within this track and generates a fiercely hypnotizing vibe. Rumbling bass and greasy 303 are the main weapons of choice within this peak-time gem.

With recent outlets on Second State, Etruria Beat, Suara and Virgo, the rising Dutch duo Hush & Sleep is reaching the major ranks of the realm of contemporary techno. With an acid-heavy "Rave Remix" of the title track "Kwijt", these prospects contributed an essential addition to an already stellar EP.

The new release on Markantonio’s label AnalyticTrail is a collaboration between rising star Gaston Zani and veteran production duo Filterheadz.
Gaston Zani has been rapidly rising through the ranks of the techno elite following his music released on labels such as Tronic, Bitten, Set About and Phobiq. Before teaming up with the Filterheadz, he has also collaborated with the likes of Matt Sassari alongside his many solo tracks.
Filterheadz are best known to some for their classic track on Carl Cox’s Intec titled "Sunshine" which was made in collaboration with Tomaz. Alongside this underground anthem they have had a number of other hit techno tracks on imprints including Toolroom, Unity Records, Bedrock and 1605.
Each of the three tracks on this EP are dark and dance floor focused with heavy percussion and lots of energy. “Subconscious” has hints of euphoria, whilst “Mathematics” is led by old school chord stabs, and “Ridge” finishes things with ripples of acid.
