Upon its release in the UK in November 1971, Fragile hit number 7 on the UK Album Chart, which would prove its highest position there.[1] It later reached number 4 on the US Billboard 200[2] during a stay of 46 weeks. Its release in the United States was held back for two months because of the chart momentum of their previous record, The Yes Album.

I made this few years back as a kind of exercise and as I worked the song versus the production Genesis did, I realized this song has amazing basslines that are never really appreciated... so I reworked the instrumentation and mix to allow the bass-line to be a feature.
 
This is a tribute not an attempt to rip them off and maybe to expose a newer generation to an amazing sometimes forgotten earlier version before Peter Gabriel left and Phil Collin's became an unlikely God... I present one of the higher points of the progressive rock movement...
