Frank Ekwa, Levelle London and Shocka are three extremely talented individuals who united over a common bond of wanting to bring about messages of positive energy, self love and empowerment through music.

With the mantra "Too conscious for nonsense" being at the forefront of the trios mind when making their musical moves, they stay away from lyrics about money, alcohol and bad b*tches , hence going 'Against The Grain' to address issues that really matter in today's ever changing society, making the type of music that will resonate greatly with those of a similar mindset.

Not only is this masterpiece, produced by Levelle London lyrically immaculate, but with his beautiful melodies married with Camden rapper/singer Frank Ekwa's unique tone of voice and Shocka's - who was once part of the infamous Marvel trio that dominated back in the days when Channel U reigned - powerful delivery, this project is set to become a timeless, thought provoking piece that people can sing along and vibe too.

This is only reiterated by the honest perspectives displayed through the songs on Against The Grain, as the project opens with vulnerable ballad Stars, Shocka's incredibly honest verse evokes goosebumps, whilst bringing awareness to mental health issues, whereas Gut Feeling sees the trio vent their troubles with trying to remain righteous, positive versions of themselves over a syncopated, aggressive beat. Moving into People, the track lyrically details how and why the three make the kind of music hey make, a sincere insight into how Levelle, Frank and Shocka eventually came together for this project.

With intentions to empower listeners, Melanin is pro-black, challenging society's perceptions whilst remaining to be a song that you can easily zone too. The vibes carry into the self explanatory Self Love, before the project ends on high energy track Summer 4Ever.
