Biografie : 
The 1985 born Elec Ice – better known under the name of Matthias Münzberg to his still Potsdam-based parents – made his first steps in the creative field as a young-aged graphic designer before he bandied pixels for soundbits and started to mess around with sound blocks in 2002.

After first attempts on the free Music2000 software which came along with his Playstation games console and deep space explorations into the ever active Berlin club and open air scene fueled his fiery burning love for electronic club music to an extent that made him long for more than being jus another moving body on the dancefloor.

Apart from delving deeply into the art of DJ'ing from 2004 onwards Elec Ice upgraded to Reason 3 and Ableton live on which he developed his trademark sound but still it took up to 2010 before his first live set appearances happened in the Berlin underground scene.

Quickly being recognized by the likes of Dr. Walker and the Paris-based Blim Records his first digital single „Liquid Ice“ was released in 2012 via Blim Records which also featured a variation of this track on the compilation „Liquid Sky Berlin Vol. 1 – The Mothership Has Landed“ alongside musical works by the likes of Omsk Information, DJ Kaine, Jack Acid, Sheldon Drake, Dr Walker, Yapacc, Audiosex and others.

Recently Elec Ice is working on new material for forthcoming singles scheduled for 2013
