A long-time friend and contributor since the beginning - the mysterious Edo Lang is back with his signature style of highly emotive dance floor bliss. Inspired by the natural awe of Queensland’s Glass House Mountains - Edo beautifully emulates the inspiring Australian landscape through his lush pads and dry, high impact drum rhythms.

The Sound Of Vast imprint, headed up by Knock and Red Pig Flower has over the years carved out quite the reputation, with an impressive back catalogue featuring material from the likes of Cosmin TRG, Vid/Egal3, Soichi Terada and The Jaydes amongst others. Here though we see San Proper and The Mole make a welcome return to the imprint, this time round joining forces with Hreno for a three track EP from the powerhouse trio.

Leading on the package is ‘Friendly Tears’ which features yet another leading figure in the house scene, Dekmantel regular Tom Trago, as you’d expect from such an impressive array of artists we’re treated so soul drenched house driven by swinging organic drums, infectious funk licks and hooky synth lines before the ‘Chunkless Mix’ strips things back a little, laying focus solely on the 80’s tinged synth work, delayed vocal murmurs and minimalistic percussion.
‘On The Floor’ then rounds out the package, retaining a similar aesthetic with choppy guitar melodies, penetrating bass stabs, crunchy rhythms and resonant arpeggio synths ebbing and flowing dynamically throughout

French Duo Dub Striker make their debut on Happiness Therapy with a solid 5 track EP backed by a remix by Chicago based House producer and Smart Bar resident Garrett David.

Dub Striker reignite the French House scene on their latest release with their raw sound influenced by artist like Gerd, Milton Jackson and Fabio Monesi. The opening track to the Birds Of A Feather EP, Wild Rhythm, showcases the duo’s diverse style with this tropical infused track featuring tribal rhythms, light and airy chords and bright melodics. A refreshing opening track that transports you to another place.
The following track is Mood Pt. 2, a raw loungey house track with Icey high hats, a punchy kick drum and hypnotic chord sequences.

Opening on the flip side of the EP is, Computer Games, with a change of pace from the A side with its pulsating kick drum, floating bassline and spacey chords and melodies. ‘Would You ?’ follows, again showcasing the duos diverse style with this Jazzed up house track with its rhythmic raw percussions, classic house chord progressions, trippy vocals and dissonant synth stabs. Closing the ep is Garrett David’s take on Wild Rhythm, his interpretation takes you deep into the jungle with this upbeat percussion driven track, with its soothing bird calls, tropical melodies and enchanting chords.

Birds Of A Feather EP will be out on March 13th, 2020 available on digital and vinyl.
