Nueva entrega de las BOD Series, nuestra sección mensual de sets protagonizados por los DJs de nuestra escena.

El protagonista es el bizkaitarra Yeray Portillo, conocido por su alias Radithor, un habitual de las cabinas electrónicas en Euskadi desde hace más de 15 años, además de cofundador del sello Eclectic Reactions y del fanzine Uhin. Otro de los proyectos en los que formó parte fue Distopia Club y tuvo el honor de inaugurar la primera edición del Mugako Festival.

Su set, realizado con dos platos de vinilo y dos CDs, presenta una hora de viaje a través de estilos como el ambient, experimental, electroacústica, industrial, jazz, breaks, noise, drones...:

time industrial sounds , it seems that they came as a blast from the past but in a futuristic and cyber blend too!

MPC 1000 running TR606, guitar noise, and DX9 stab samples while controlling the MS-20m. Both redlining through Mackie DFX12 mixer. Two FX loops - one with the DOD Rubberneck Analog Delay and the other with the Boss DD7 + June-60. All extra inputs, outputs, and aux sends utilized for no-input mixing noise. Recorded live off the board through the tape out into the Nakamichi CR-1A. Bounced to Logic, added some spacial fx on the master track and uploaded.

London based label UZ MI Records returns in 2021 with a four track VA featuring Yallahs, solo contributions from label bosses Rick Silver & James Vernon and their Money House Club guise. Rick Silver & James Vernon’s fairly young but highly promising label has been releasing the highest standard of stripped back and stylish, dubbed-out sonics and have carved out a little section for themselves in the electronic music scene after honing a dynamic and appealing production style. Previous releases from the two label bosses and enigmatic artist Yallahs have captured the attention from various established names and they continue to show their flair for all things raw and exciting on their ‘Stories, Chapter One’ release. 
Money House Club’s ‘Fish Slap’ kicks things off with swirling, electro-tinged drums, stabbing acid synths with heart-warming leads underneath whilst Rick Silver delivers his ‘My Corona’ next as the hypnotic deepness pulsates wonderfully in harmony with the organic percussion and delicate melodies. On the flip, Yallahs lays down a punchy techno groover entitled ‘One Leg’, punchy kicks fuse with the dubby textures and oscillating vibrations capturing and keeping you locked throughout before James Vernon’s ‘Web Flight’ rounds off the EP with rough-edged modulations, looping rhythms and haunting pads that spiral in and out of focus with pure eccentricity.
