Lion is a DJ and music producer based in Berlin. With over twelve years of experience spanning various sectors of the music and cultural industries, he has established himself as a promoter and curator of diverse projects. His expertise extends to co-producing numerous national and international productions, contributing significantly behind the scenes.

His refined understanding of industry demands, paired with a deep-seated passion for sound and culture, serves as the cornerstone of his artistic identity. In recent years, he has devoted himself almost exclusively to the studio, engaging in cross-genre collaborations with a variety of artists.

The Amygdala is a central structure of the limbic system. It evaluates sensory inputs for emotional significance and potential threats, triggering neural pathways that generate emotional responses and embed as lasting memories.

Simultaneously, it initiates physical responses such as heartbeat, breathing, goosebumps, and the release of dopamine and serotonin. Within musical experience, the amygdala allows us to sense the emotional undertones of others intuitively, even before the mind can interpret them. This process is known as affective empathy.

"Mars Reform" is a visionary, dystopian techno odyssey that imagines the future of human existence beyond Earth — not as a utopia, but as a volatile reconstruction. The track opens with desolate ambient textures and distant industrial echoes, like wind sweeping across the red desert of a terraformed Mars. Slowly, a broken yet determined rhythm begins to rise — the sound of humanity rebuilding itself amidst alien soil and mechanical decay.

Pierre (Bob) Stephan fuses cinematic tension with hypnotic minimalism. The percussion clatters like machinery under strain; synths swell and shrink like artificial atmospheres struggling for balance. There’s an eerie calmness in the chaos, as if the track reflects both the violence and the beauty of starting over in an unfamiliar world. "Mars Reform" captures the essence of post-colonial futurism — both a warning and a hope, rendered through layers of texture and tightly wound structure.

This is techno for thinkers, explorers, and survivors. It doesn’t beg to be danced to — it commands you to listen, reflect, and envision what comes after the collapse. A masterpiece of narrative sound design, both unrelenting and deeply philosophical.

Volume 3 of the VA Kuukou compilation aptly entitled Passengers brings together a sexted of label alums as well as fresh faces each bringing their unique production flair into one original track. The tracks make for an exhaustive arsenal of club weapons for different times of the set, like floor up-warmers Apriori, with its syncopated melody or Heinerich and Heine’s playfully groovy L’amnésie. There’s also a share of powerful roof raisers, from JOANiSH’s punchy The Great Hike to Italian producer and electronic music platform head Barbur’s straightforward techno number Its Berlin or Jägerhertz’ relentlessly elevating No Way Out. Work Deep (Michael Stefanowitz) was Born on September 21th 1997 in Regensburg, Germany. 
Michael started his Technocareer in 2016. He releases his debut ep in september 2018 on error records. Further releases have not been delayed. With his special blend of dark and melodic techno he releases on different labels like Autektone Records, Panterre Musique and many more. In March 2019 he founds his own record label 'Melodark Records''.
