Lonely Surfer Drum And Bass Remix

A remix of Savoy's Lonely Surfer intended for participation in the remix contest by a-ha.com. 
About the remix: Since i'm not a guitarist, i chose to go with synths instead. I also wanted contrast with the drums, a drum-machine-feeling in the verse, more organic drums in the chorus and combining the two in the outro. 
The outro is treated with the "Keane-effect" - stacking melodic riffs on top of eachother, yet working together harmonically. Adding to the chaos in the outro is a submarine/sonar echo, suggesting there is something else happening in the "story" within the lyrics. A fun first remix-experience for me.

Paul Waaktaar-Savoy invited people to remix Savoy's newest single "Lonely Surfer" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XM81fZjBcYE&list=RDXM81fZjBcYE&start_radio=1), so I gave it a try, even though I thought of the song as perfect already. 

I would be extremely honoured winning the contest and getting the one-of-a-kind version of Savoy's last album...
