One winter evening last year while we were having a beer in Piazza Santo Spirito in Florence, I noticed that my friend Louise had a beautiful vocal expression and I asked her, for fun, if she would like to record voices for some new music. I started working on something that could represent her character, until one afternoon we recorded without any particular idea and ended up, as usual, talking about love.

Clichè Italien is a project produced during the last months of my stay in Florence and contains all my feelings experienced in that period of my life, I owe a lot of my personal and artistic evolution to the city, but above all to the people with whom I have shared true emotions.

Back in Italy, after my trip to Australia, I open an old box of photographs of my family, and I find a real love story lived by my grandfather. It was 1971 and he, with the simplicity of mind of us islanders, was taking a woman around the island of Capri. Balancing in the deep blue sea they were enjoying life. Who knows how many months later these photos reached my grandfather, with a clear message:

''Remember This. I hope you stand there when I return to Capri''

It would become the cover of this music
