„Das Peng gebar sich selbst im Dichterdarm des Wörterwals. Es wuchs über Tage und Jahre bis es Finger auf den Augen und Ohren an den Füssen trug. Es tanzte durch die Blutbahn des Wals, bis es den Rand seines mächtig pumpenden Herzens erreichte. Dort erblickte es das leise singende Bing, das den Wal am Leben erhielt. Es kroch voran zum Auge des Tieres, nahm allen Mut zusammen und sonderte sich als Träne ab, um mit dem Ozean zu verschmelzen. Der Ozean war eine raue Seele und schleuderte ihn durch haushohe Wellen und reißende Strudel hinab in die Tiefen seiner unermesslichen Weite. Und dort, im schwärzesten Schwarz, erwartete ihn das Monster. Es griff mit Saugnapf besetzten Krakenarmen nach ihm und zog ihn sanft in seinen Schoß. Seit diesem Tag suchen gemeinsam nach dem Verfasser des nullten Kapitels.“ (aus: „Das Nullte Kapitel“)

Käptn Peng & Die Tentakel von Delphi sind nach „Expedition ins O“ von 2013 mit ihrem zweiten Band- Studioalbum zurück und es geht darauf laut Peng „wieder um bestimmte Dinge (und auch Gefühle).“ Neben den Tentakel-typischen Sujets wie Wahnsinn, Erleuchtung oder skurrile Monster, wird auf „Das Nullte Kapitel“ unter anderem die Kreiszahl Pi auseinander klamüsert, mit rasierten Igeln in einer irren Traumreise durch Spiegelkabinette gejagt oder die Menschheit nach und nach vom marodierenden Planeten gefegt. Surrealer Text trifft beschwippste Mitsing-Refrains, Metaebene trifft heimliches Augenzwinkern. Erstmals im Themen-Angebot: die klassische Liebes-Schmonzette. Produziert und aufgenommen wurde erneut im bandeigenen Berliner Studio, zusammen mit dem langjährigen Toningenieur der Band Jens Güttes. Galten die Tentakel mit ihrem musikalischen Kuriositätenkabinett aus Bürsten, Töpfen, Fahradklingeln, Betonkübeln, brummelnden Kontrabässen und präparierten Gitarren lange Jahre als die HipHop-Band mit den baufälligsten Instrumenten, haben sich auf der neuen Platte auch ein paar Synthesizerklänge eingeschlichen, die dem maroden Charme des Bandsounds eine abgespacte Note geben. Ordentlich rumpeln tut es natürlich nach wie vor.
