Part 2 of my 2023 summary which was undoubtedly another cracking year for drum and bass, especially from a deep, dark and minimal point of view. Again, all the tracks in this playlist arent necessarily specific to 2023, more like a mix of tunes I vibed to. If your tracks haven't been selected, don't worry, maybe I shoved them in another playlist or maybe they will make it to part 3. This isn't an objective selection and I'm sure everyone would have a different opinion of what made 2023. I just wanted to thank all the people who have been part of this journey, the new friends I made along the way, the old friends I managed to keep eventually and also those I fell out with... It's all part of the plan... Thanks to the great shows Ive been to, the great DJ sets I saw: Teej, Objectiv, Melinki, Skeptical, Mantra, Mob Tactics, Chase and Status, Minali, Goldie, Gyrofield, Sekhmet, Ed Rush, Visages and many many more... What has 2023 taught me? Well, you should dance even if your feet aren't ready. You should sing even if you don't have that voice or that look or that ear. You should love even when you're not being loved and the world is falling apart around you. You should keep on dreaming especially when life gets tough. You should learn to walk in the dark without waiting for the light. You should keep going even when you feel hungry, lost, weak or exhausted. You should keep laughing even when you make a complete fool of yourself, and you should sing and sing and sing because this life is your song and noone else is gonna sing it for you. Keep growing.
