Gusto is a South African songwriter, rapper and musician born in the Northern Cape De Aar and raised in Cape Town, Lake view Retreat. His humble beginnings are deeply rooted in the city of Cape Town where he and his sister were raised by their Grandmother.

He later moved to Gauteng in 2014 and decided to pursue his high school education with Sir Pierre van Ryneveld High School where he discovered the wonders of the world of music, finding himself forming an authentic connection with the art form.

Upon discovering his own talents in the musical arts, he decided to explore his gifts and commit himself to pursuing a professional career in the entertainment industry. Gusto is self-described as a creative, first and consequently an artist, lyricist, writer, rapper and poet.

Primarily a creator of music in the Hip Hop/Rap category he incorporates elements from other music genres, art forms and even experiences from real life to successfully create unique compositions that reflect the true nature of the human experience and the state of the human condition.

In his exploration of all that the world of music has to offer, Gusto has set his sights on gaining more experience in music composing, song writing and production. It is his commitment to creating artworks that are positively impactful that keeps him mindful of his responsibility to not only set the status quo but to also produce a lasting legacy for future generations.

Gusto has made as his personal goal the ushering in of a change in the state of the art through his music, centering himself around creating music that will inspire change in the state of the human condition across the globe.

Gusto aims to have his music become a global sensation that will significantly change the mainstream understanding and disposition about music as a whole, to inspire other visionaries to pursue their visions with vigor and zeal.
