There's a difference between a lot of recording artists and musicians out there today and me. They want a job. They want to pursue a hobby in the professional realm. They want to “inspire” people. But music isn’t a hobby of mine; it’s not just a career I hope to build.

Music is my lifestyle.

Music has been an irreplaceable part of my life since I was nothing more than an over-eager five-year-old excited about the sound of my own voice. As long as I can remember, singing has been one of my greatest joys in life. I wrote my first song at the age of 12, and have been writing, composing, and producing all of my own material ever since. Two years later, I recorded a poppy-dance remix of “Deck the Halls.” My lofty aspirations to record and produce seemed daunting for the next several years. However, when I was 16, my fortunes improved exponentially with my being introduced to Roger Emerson, a top-selling choral composer for Hal Leonard Publishing. Emerson, having heard my production of “Deck the Halls,” saw the raw talent in me and—in hopes of not seeing it go to waste— eventually purchased for me most of the recording equipment I currently use to produce. That same year, I tried out for American Idol, though I didn’t get too far at such a young age. In high school, I starred in local musicals, often performing as a soloist in various high school productions. The last five years of experience and real life have made me confident that it’s time to get serious about creating music that will appeal to the masses.

While the process of “getting serious” has taken form in my aspirations to audition on the X-Factor and The Voice recently, as well as write with various producers (one of which who has a Billboard charting album), I want to aim higher than that. 

My goal is to write songs that help people. Songs that save people. Music has been my therapy through hardship and my celebration through triumph. I want to write music that connects to people in the same way. By entertaining people and filling venues, I hope to meet people where they are and take them somewhere new and exciting through my music.
