Wyk (Wyk Psykoxaman) aka Víctor Samper Barceló, born 1982, in Alicante, Spain.

Since he was young he always loved music of all kinds, electronic and non-electronic, but when he heard Goa Trance for the first time in the late 90’s immediately his heart began to beat for Psychedelic Music and he became an unconditional lover of Psytrance. Unfortunately, he couldn’t find any trancefamily in Spain in those days.

After years of Drum & Bass and Techno partys, Wyk discovered the Psytrance scene, in Amsterdam, in the year 2001, and fell in love with it immediately. Since then Psychedelic Trance Music became the soundtrack of his personal life.

Wyk began spinning the CDJs in 2003 but mainly at home, practicing, discovering and listening to everything he could find. In 2005 he then played in his first rave party and loved it. Since this first experience, he starts collecting lots of music and playing DJ sets at many smaller and bigger events in Spain, France, Switzerland, ... etc ... . Wyk was also a co-founder of Kantala Sound, the first collective of the city of Alicante devoted to promotion of quality Psychedelic Music. In some events, he had the opportunity to play in the same scenarios that some of the greatest DJs and Producers of the Psytrance scene....

In parallel, Victor Samper Barcelo is also a focused and enthusiastic Chemist formed in Spain, France and Switzerland … his scientific mind has always been interested on how to explore the limits of the brain and the body with music, visuals, odors, flavors and other stimuli …. His DJ-sets are created with the aim of exploring those limits bringing a powerful energy to the floor in his own unique way.

He enjoys and plays several styles of Psychedelic. Depending on the nature of the event, Wyk spins an harmonic variety of styles covering all points of the Psychedelic Trance spectrum, playing mind altering sets that fit best for the party and the hour. He prefers to mix up the many styles of Psytrance rather than be limited to one formula. He takes the consciousness of the dancefloor or the chillout to a surreal, emotional and intriguing universe.

With near a decade of experience behind the mixer and the CDJs, he burned up the dancefloors with his careful selections. He always creates a story that will take you to all the corners of your mind to bring you to a real trance experience. 

Nowadays, he lives in Zurich (Switzerland) and he is always on the look for new friendly people, a small party nearby or bigger original events and some fun.

It came to pass in those days that a young man named Florian lived in the quiet valleys of Austria. He was a dreamer, searching for a sound that could touch the soul.

One day, while visiting a friend, he beheld a wondrous device — a minstrel’s button box (DJ controller), its lights sparkling like the stars. In that moment, he recognized his path. Two days later, he acquired such a tool for himself and diligently practiced its use. Yet soon, he asked himself, “Why should I only play the works of others? I want to create my own soundscapes!”

Fate led him to a wise master of Psytrance, who instructed him in the magical workshop of Cubase. Florian became passionate about the craft of music production and soon discovered an even more powerful tool: Ableton Live. With great zeal, he combined his knowledge and refined his melodies through long nights, until he became a master of his art.

As Nero Effecta, he created a unique sound: New School G-Prog, blended with melodic Psytek and psychedelic effects. Those who listened to his works were transported to magical soundscapes. His name echoed far beyond the mountains, and his art touched hearts across the lands.

And so, Nero Effecta lives on to this day, creating new melodies and dreaming further in the realm of music.
