What started out as a simple experiment running a guitar track from an unfinished @paintedinvoid track through a bunch of effects turned quite unexpectedly into a growling dark ambient Frankenstein monster, which I cobbled together from pieces of other audio experiments I've done over the summer months.

There's plenty of distorted and glitchy elements here, both in the audio, and video; I'd really recommend you watch the YouTube version for the full audiovisual experience. Everything was done in REAPER with its video processor and a bunch of VST plugins, and plenty of both audio and video automation.
I've also made a version of this that's over an hour long, but I'm still undecided if I want to let it loose in the wild :)

An ambient piece based around two strummed chords, using UVI’s powerful Falcon sampler/softsynth, including the ‘rain’ sequencer triggering UVI’s PX Apollo. It’s an very minimal piece, consisting of only three elements, but I’ve tried to create a rich, constantly shifting bed of sound using both Falcon’s built-in modulations/FX, and DS Tantra's multi-FX vst; processed through Eventide’s endlessly gorgeous BlackHole reverb. Plugin Alliance’s online mastering.studio (London Clean) added greater weight and depth to the stereo image. Hope you  enjoy! M :)

Giant Space Squid

I completed this piece of TD-inspired music in September 2022, but was busy with other tracks, and didn't get around to uploading until now. It's another Berlin-influenced piece of sequencing featuring some occasionally dissonant processed audio samples instead of mellotron emulations.

EDIT: 20230222 I remixed the track, making a few changes. I updated the EQ on the bassy Absynth that enters at 0:12 to deal with some resonances in the low-mids, I centred the low frequencies of the 2 Absynth bass synth patches, and updated the sequences of two of the Modular V2 synths, and added some more volume automation. I also reduced the frequency boosts in the mastering EQ relative to the original version.

I found the 1969 record "Love of the Common People" in one of those cupboards where people leave their unwanted old books to take for free. It was basically a pristine copy so brought it home on a whim and one song in particular inspired this track. 

The track is obviously having its cake and eating it a bit, but I hope the original message from mister Ames comes through as well
