‘Collide’ is about trying to make something work with someone when it’s not the right time. Sometimes, you need time apart from that person to change and grow, and so do they. The song is about reigniting that connection after some time spent being apart.

Erik Lagerholm, the man behind the moniker Skymning, has a background in more commercial work.
