REMIX CONTEST RULES

1. Must be a part of the Miss Jay HQ Discord server in order to 
download the stems from the #remix-contest channel (find the link on the track)

2. Must use a minimum of 5 stems of the track

3.	Submit your remix on the #remix-contest channel within the deadline

4.	There should only be ONE submission per entrant

5.	Deadline to submit - 25th of July 2022

PRIZES

There will be 3 winning remixes that will get:

	- a €20 Bandcamp gift card

	- a full release on Soundcloud, Bandcamp and streaming platforms within a 
           remixes EP

@raghoulmusic is a Dutch-Morrocan non-hierarchal multi-disciplinary label focusing on bass-rooted cultures ●

Now, the label is making a big move with the first VA compilation. The 9-track EP is called【"Crocodile Tears in a Reptilian World"】which perfectly describes the raw-alien-fantasy mood of the project. 

Between artists: 3xOJ, Archidi, BLKM3TA, Ishtar, Kemperton, Makossiri, Noise Diva, OTAT and Qetsy we chose the track „Ajarah“ by one of our favorite producers WULFFLUW XCIV.

Anthropocene is a project that came to life when life itself came to a grinding halt in the early days of lockdown. Emerging out of troubled times, it is a testament to dystopia and pessimism. Zagam, a solo project by French experimental club producer Etienne Zastko, takes a bleak view of a destructive Anthropocene Epoch, in which “utopias can’t exist and we’ve lost our way in our blind devotion to technology”. 

The album pieces together a chronology of catastrophic events. A fictionalized soundtrack to humankind’s end-cycle. The abrasive textures and suffocating atmosphere immerse us into a total universe where everything that could have gone wrong has. Affirmations and tech bro optimism didn’t quite cut it. And if those disembodied voices that sporadically reach out are the survivors, that’s not good news. 

The visual aesthetic of Zagam is one of fusion, a medieval plague doctor mask with a 23rd-century twist. “Anthropocene” mines a similarly disparate set of influences, spanning an evermore hybridized club space. Gqom, grime, industrial techno, footwork: everything is fair game. The rich musical background and hard sonic palette of Zagam make for a perfect match for the hybrid electronics approach of Unizone.
