Shane McLoughlin is DJ Sneachta. The word "sneachta" is the Irish translation of the word "snow." I am a DJ from Mullingar in the Republic of Ireland. I have always had a profound love for electronic music dating back to the earliest years of my life. My wide-ranged electronic music taste is evident in my unpredictable mix. The mix is called "Alright Son" which is how we say "hello, how are you" in Mullingar.

This is Sneachta coming all the way from Ireland bringing you a high energy mix which begins with a dark and emotional experimental track from Emily Glass. This blends into a killer Bass/Techno track called "Radar" from Moa Pillar. The mood of the mix intensifies throughout its duration, becoming more aggressive with some hard glitchy sounds from the likes of Le Dom. The mix goes down through the BPM's starting from 145 BPM and ending at 100 BPM to provide its listeners with a wide range of tempos to dance to. This mix constantly builds energy and blends together many different genres such as Baile/Hard Drums/GQOM/Club/Drum & Bass/Dancehall.

While this week’s label mix technically comes from Marseille, France, it’s truly the product of the internet. @hyperlinkfr founder Fanny Cahu is an active participant in her corner of internet music, searching for under-the-radar artists to amplify their art through the platform she single-handedly built. 			

“While there's no rigid sound, I aim for coherence within a particular niche, representing what I love most—ranging from ambient to pop to grime, with a strong emphasis on sound design,” she told Nina.

Her label mix is a testament to the label’s diverse, yet aesthetically focused and refined output. She effortlessly steers through catalog highlights, ranging from eerie ambient tracks to post-apocalyptic drum-and-bass to experimental pop.

SLA21: 'Whorl' by @deejaycharme is the first single of 'Starling', out Thursday March 28th.  

Gavin Vanaelst, also known as DJ Charme (formerly recognized as Kassett), produces electronic music that varies from bombastic ambient compositions to lofty rhythmic cuts. In the past he has collaborated with notable artists like Dntel, Golin, Lauren Auder and Zwangere Guy. His debut album 'Charme' in 2018 received support from renowned international labels such as Warp. After a brief period of silence, DJ Charme returned in October with his second full-length album, 'Hartenjagen', followed now by the 5-track extended play 'Starling', which marks his debut on Slagwerk.
