I've been a music lover since day one! As a kid with my small turntable I used to listen endlessly to all the records in my brothers and sisters' collection. In the early 80's I started to go to some alternative clubs located in Northern Italy. I am talking about "Cosmic" and "Typhoon". There I heard djs playing all kinds of music, from Jazz to Disco, to Afro and Funk till the modern electronic music from the 70's and 80's. It was only at the end of the 80's / early 90's that I started to dig house music. But it was a slow process. I have never loved glamourous and fake clubs. I loved the stuff coming from Chicago and Detroit since I could immediately find my vibe and roots in it, even if I was born and raised in Italy. Since the 90's I have been a promoter and dj for many projects mainly in and around Brescia. Founder, art director and resident DJ of DISCO VOLANTE Brescia from December 2009 to May 2014. In my dj sets you can feel my deep love for black music. I love analog sounds and I LOVE VINYL.

Nonostante la sua giovane età, sono anni ormai che suona nei migliori club e locali del territorio, dimostrandosi in grado di trasmettere al pubblico il suo amore per la musica elettronica.
Da sempre fedele alla corrente House e Tech-House, consapevole delle sue capacità nel deejaying, nel 2019 ha deciso di dare una svolta alla sua carriera musicale mettendosi alla prova come producer.

Matteo Romano, (born 5 September 1992 in Rome, Italy) known professionally as Xanti, is an 
Italo-French composer, songwriter, record producer, remixer and DJ.


Xanti fell in love with music in young age, while touring Italy with his father, drummer of a local 
roman band named G44. As digital native, he approached electronic music after borrowing his 
older brother’s CD copy of ”The Prodigy’s “The Fat Of The Land”. 
Around 2012, after his initial forays as a local DJ in his hometown, Xanti felt the need of 
producing his own sound and had the pleasure to release his early records on prominent 
labels such as Cr2 Records, Armada Music, Enhanced Music and Disco:Wax before starting his 
own venture Backdoor Records, which was built to express his personal and eclectic vision; it 
is also used as a hub to always create new and very diverse projects, teaming up with a wide 
array of prominent artists, songwriters and producers from several different genres.


His last single “Queen Of Love”, featuring Elenoir and Tim Bell, counts over 2.5 millions 
streams and reached the Top20 Viral Chart in UK, Ireland and Italy as long as being featured 
in various TV shows such as Love Island 2020.
