Jalil Baker, was born in Normal, Illinois February 12th, 1998. Baker is quickly becoming known for his 'old soul' and his knowledgeable, message-filled music inspired by 90's Hip-Hop artists such as: Common, Nas, 2pac, Dr. Dre and B.I.G. to name a few. He has also been inspired by artists like Immortal Technique, Kendrick Lamar, Blu and Ab-Soul.
Jalil takes people by surprise every time they hear him. His refreshing sounds and looks easily distinguish him from your average teenager. His overall goal is to bring popularity back to relevant and well constructed music. He thrives on the music and the message. Baker is looking to be a positive role model for the youth and has grown to become a true wordsmith for his generation. The next step is to expand his audience. He is looking forward to deliver good music to all generations.
4 years after the release of his second project (Evo Tape) at 15 years old, the now 19 year old emcee has not stopped his streak of rapid progression and is planning to showcase his evolution to the world on higher platforms this time around.
