He's the founding father of one of the biggest and most relevant groups for electronic music-diggers, where people can dive into the beauty of hidden gems, from the early days of House Music up to the present. But Paul Wise, better know under his artist moniker Placid, not only runs We're Going Deep, the group, he's also founded a label with the same name, on which he puts out music that's deep and (partly) has an Acid twist, a preference Paul basically has grown up with as he's witnessed the beginnings of House Music in the UK and became officially a DJ in 1990, right after the Second Summer of Love. Ever since the Bristol-based artist has dedicated himself to the music and poured his love into it. For Torture the Artist Placid put together the latest art:cast, of course mixed and recorded on two Technics 1210MK2 on a Saturday afternoon and spoke about the We're Going Deep-group, his early days in the scene, how he puts together the V/A EPs on the label, the reason why he has never produced music on his own and much more.

Estimulo started his career on Berlin's pirate radio scene in the late 1980s, and is nowadays one of the most respected underground house DJs in Europe.

With a special focus on Deep, Bleep, Chicago & Italian house sounds, he has released many celebrated mixtapes and podcasts over the years, recently turning heads with his contribution to @melbourne-deepcast & backing it up with his first trip to Australia in early 2023.

Known as a "DJ's DJ" across many realms of classic dance music, I owe my love of Italian House, Bleeps & Breaks, and several other subgenres to this man, and it was an honour to host him for 2 separate events in Brisbane.

The first was at our secret location (pictured), which sadly was not recorded. Then we made last-minute plans for a Thursday night party at this rad West End venue called It's Still A Secret.

is a well-known fixture on the contemporary Italian techno scene. His musical career started in his hometown Rome where he began collecting vinyl and DJ’ing in the early 90’s. In 2008 he started producing and founded his own label, Attic Music; famous for his immaculate mixing technique, his sets travel from deeper to harder techno, darker pieces are introduced to more melodic ones and acid or old school gem, updated with new unheard material, the key ingredients for Fabrizio to create an intimate journey for the listener.

Genning:
Maxim has been creating electronic music for many years. Originally from Yekaterinburg. In 2008, the first minimal album was recorded. In 2014, the first release took place on the Proton Records label. Since 2017, I have been collecting vinyl artifacts of rare collector's editions from 1994 to the present. In 2018, a dub-techno album with 10 tracks was released on the MixCult label. An endless number of digital releases followed, including vinyl compilations.
Between 2012 and 2023, more than 60 mixes of different genres were recorded. He is currently working closely on new musical material and performs regularly.

Niklas Wandt and Joshua Gottmans aka "Modern-Day Floor-Covering" had a strong debut last year with their album (I never fall in love) and this mix comes hot on the heels of their most recent album "Life", both released on the ever-amazing "Themes for Great Cities" imprint hailing via Düsseldorf.

Their visual and sonic aesthetics both meander between 80's West-German Kneipe, Cosmic New-Wave and leather-fetish EBM, newly re-discovered and interpreted as part of a modern, serene German identity. Thus, the title "Bordbistro", a modern relict of old times, a surreal space of calmness on a 300 km/h train journey. And, of course, Weizenbier.

Icelandic's producer and DJ Ohm, 
has continued to stay true to the spirit of techno. 
Thru the 1990s, Ohm learned a deep foundation of the growing worldwide techno surge that by 1999, 
he felt he was creative and eager enough to start writing his own music. 
Success came quickly with his debut; a collaboration with fellow Icelandic legend Exos on Force Inc records. 
This led to over 20 releases since on standout labels like Thule records, Rawax, Kontakt, Solid Groove., Taped Artifact, Ranges, Vade mecum , 
Vuo records and AE Recordings, and AE recordings Ltd, which he co-ran with Octal Industries and Thor from Thule Records.
A chance meeting in a Berlin records store with Andrey Puskarev and Pola led to releasing some music on the acclaimed All In Records and their sublabel Nilla. Shortly after, 
a release on Andrey's own label Luck of Access with Octal Industries followed. 
Now Copenhagen based, his DJ career is equally impressive having been a regular guest at the hottest spot in his area, Culture Box. 
In the past, gigs at Germany's Tresor along with various places all around Europe to clubs back home in Iceland, 
Ohm's style of DJing is the culmination of over 30 years in the techno scene. Being a beloved personality in the scene, 
Recently, Ohm has started his own imprint, OHM Series. 
This label focuses on having releases that feature a mixture of well-beloved veterans and some vibrant new names pushing techno's sonic boundaries.
Highlighting this balance is a prime example where his techno integrity is the cornerstone of its operation. 
He's blending tried and true techno sounds with techno's next visionaries which we can all agree that is a worthwhile endeavor for the direction. 
Ohm also runs two shows on Timeline music online platform. 
One showcases some of the best Danish artists for the last 2 years and a second show sees him playing the latest promo's he receives from industry connections and friends. 
So, what does the future hold for Ohm? More of it all in short. More new Ohm music productions and remixes. 
More top-notch music on his label OHM Series. More DJ gigs and more online shows. 
More innovating thru his own interpretation of all thing's techno.
