We’re very pleased to welcome back Belgian drum and bass producer Solace to Dispatch Limited, last seen on the label in 2020.

This special two-track release began life in the first lockdown of 2020. Finding the extra time to be creative a benefit, Solace was able to find a new passion and drive in his production output. But when it came to giving the track ‘Liminal Space’ a name, the lockdown started feeling strange. Empty roads, airports, city centres was a very unusual experience. Just like being at an empty airport at night, which is a classic liminal space. To be in a liminal space means to be on the precipice of something new but not quite there yet. You can be in a liminal space physically, emotionally, or metaphorically. Being in a liminal space can be incredibly uncomfortable for most people.

‘Repeat’ is also inspired by the restrictions of lockdown and life during the pandemic, perhaps in a more direct way than ‘Liminal Space.’ The title of the track came first, inspiring the whole production, and guiding the creative output of Solace.

The delightful pairing that is journeymen Bailey Greer and Josh Croft have cooked up something decidedly naughty to ring in the Summer this year. Following up ‘Silhouette (feat. Visionobi)’, ‘Android Funk’ and their wonderful reimagining of ‘Ghost Mode’ - the spritely duo have concocted something a little weightier for summer 2022 and we’re totally here for it. This pulsating, cascading number is ready to annihilate ballrooms and bassbins alike, just in time for festival season. 

‘Domino Effect’ gets going with smooth pads and a calm atmosphere which are quickly met by our foreboding robotic narrator who warns of our inevitable, impending doom. This chain-reaction of groove is thick with a palpitating, schizophrenic bassline and crisp drums. These are further complemented by lush swells of pads and vocals and a myriad of glitching switch-ups and fills spanning the aural elements at play.  

Landing in all good stores on Friday the 10th of June, come and get involved in this chain reaction of vibes!
