RED//BLUE is a companion album to my album called "PURPLE" that I released earlier in March. It is an experimental effort that was almost never released. I tried out a few things here that eventually led me in the direction of where I am going next. A rebrand, a new idea, a new sound for Ohpal. You won't hear that new sound here, but consider this a lead-up to it. I'm excited to share my ideas past this point. This album was me trying to stitch together to completely polar opposite vibes together, and I wanted the entire project to feel as if you are in limbo... in between two very distinct choices.

Ohpal is the brainchild of music producer, composer, and songwriter Jacob Reed Williams. Starting off as a covid-lockdown excuse to return to his EDM roots back in 2020, Ohpal has gone from a pet project to a provocative sound that can fit in any lane. Some refer to his sound as “genre-less”, comparing him to artists like Porter Robinson, DROELOE, and glaive.
