Louisiana mind fuck       
senses running amuck
felt like I was ripped up and
dropped down in bum fuck
took a bite of an apple
so ridden with worms
infested and rotten
a plaque of deadly germs
hey, a plague of deadly germs

Louisiana heartbreak  
everything at the stake
followed a procession 
just to end up at my own wake
and wasting away in 
a corner like mildew
sick in my heart from
ignoring what I knew

took me from my city   
to a cess pool of pity 
oh but no body would help me
my truth was too shitty

I tried telling my lover

People lost loved ones   
in stagnant warm water
while there were people still drinking
and throwing parties down  in the Quarter
and the elderly lay dying,
 as the city's disappearing 
one could almost hear Jesus
just as the people were fearing
