EDIT: Okay HOT TAKE from a since-2010-sonic-fan
Since Sonic.exe is a hack/spinoff of the original Sonic the Hedgehog - Sonic 3/& Knuckles his model is the same as Classic Sonic rather than Modern Sonic
So TL;DR, Sonic.exe has a short and circular body type rather than Modern's body type
