‘Okedo’ is the bold new sound of an untamed beast made of pure soul.

Mutations is a collective pursuit of timeless music and art.

“Set amidst the backdrop of East London, the unlikely union of three vastly different individuals created the band. Hailing from India, California and Nigeria respectively, the three members of Mutations draw upon their diverse backgrounds to create a fusion of genres that is otherworldly and original.

Rishon grew up in the Indian club scene immersed in dance music culture following a stint playing guitar in bands. He has been influenced by everything from electro and new wave to 60s pop, soul music and beyond. 
Nico lived deep in the mountains of Big Sur, California, and turned to folk and hip-hop music after learning to play guitar in his early years. 
Ahdeesa grew up in Nigeria listening to 70s highlife and pop records, diving into hip-hop, rap and R&B after he moved to London. The band creates music that is original while being influenced by the legacies of music’s rich past.

The Mutations live show is a spectacle featuring an amalgamation of analog synthesisers, drum machines, guitars, bass and vocals. Show goers can expect a seamless blend of thunderous kick drums, dirty synth lines and dance floor bombs alongside soulful modern ballads and future classics.

Together the band has helmed a sound primed for the dance floor. With two new projects ready for release, the band is armed with hot new material.
Mutations have performed their live show around London with performances at The Cause, The Kings Head and Kunstraum. Their forthcoming projects present block party music for a young and
inspired generation.”
