Having had the immense privilege to collaborate with Tama Sumo and Lakuti through label releases, parties, premieres and our Larry Heard film it didn't take a second thought to invite them to mix the 100th Stamp Mix. Two of the nicest, warmest, most humble souls we've encountered in music, they represent all the positive values we've tried to channel into our curation of the site since 2011. A b2b partnership in life as well as in the booth, their sets together have an unparalleled synthesis. Naturally they've translated this into this 160 minute mix - our longest Stamp Mix to date - which encapsulates what a club session together might sound like. It feels like 100 should've taken quicker than seven years, but when the guests and their mix is this perfect, we're happy to wait the same time again for the next century.

Stamp Mix 100: Tama Sumo & Lakuti

Earlier this year, the Twitter electronic music world chortled around a "Two Guy Theory", which is centred around the observation: "From Bicep to Overmono to Two Shell, the trend of two fellas coming up with elaborate excuses to hang out a lot has been picking up recently. Guys can't just be mates anymore, there has to be a catchy and fresh take on underground dance music involved."

Towards the Indian sub-continent, two of the latest purveyors of that theory are Ishaan Gandhi aka Okedo and Rohan Sinha aka Dolorblind. The two music acts, who are likely familiar to anyone with an ear tuned to the electronica talent of New Delhi, have recently joined forces to create an amalgamation of their monikers with Okedolo. 

The story goes that the pair had initially met in childhood through their parents' attempts to get their introverted kids to make friends within the neighbourhood. After growing apart and becoming recognised members of the Indian independent music scenes as visual artists, instrumentalists, record engineers and musicians in their own right, Ishaan and Rohan reunited nearly two decades later at a gig. The pair found themselves sitting next to each other, unbeknownst that they were once childhood friends, and grumbling about the wider industry before discovering their shared past.

Building upon their rediscovered camaraderie and encouraged by the anti-isolation instincts many of us experienced after the COVID-19 pandemic's lockdowns, the two musicians started collaborating to play around with music they wouldn't otherwise do. "When we first started making music, we realised our approach to music making was on opposite ends of the spectrum, yet we found ourselves really liking each other’s music (& taste in music), we knew we had to dig deeper, says Ishaan, to which Rohan adds: "Our one and only goal was to make music that's enjoyable to make. We are not confined to any genres but we do absorb the influences of our current surroundings."

While the act is yet to disclose much about the resultant work to the wider public, early previews indicate bringing together Okedo's penchant for layered percussive production and Dolorblind's affinity for booming basslines and textured synthetic ambiences in entirely new contexts. Reflecting upon the sounds that informed it, Okedolo have curated the latest Wild City Mix which, even though touches upon various sub-genres of dance music, doesn't present itself as a dance mix. Hudson Mohawke's zany arpeggios creep up behind Hikaru Utadu's uptempo drama while a standout number by Burt Cope punctuates selections of drum 'n' bass and techno that completely disregard any technical common ground as long as they share the common emotional plain.

Tonight we have with us in the studio sooper dooper special guest and drummer extraordinaire Ziggy Zeigeist. Ziggy is at the forefront of the New Jazz movement and creates amazing jazz infused house grooves. His music is a journey through atmospheric scenes, broken to deep four on floor rhythms and colourful top lines. From Jazz-funk inspired to infectious Boogie, it’s a mix that is equally well suited to dance floor applications as it is to an intimate night with the turntable spinning and the sensual herbs burning.

Phonica mix 135 comes in hot from one of the slickest names making waves at the moment.
Wallace – the enigmatic alias of UK producer Jimmy Wallace – continues to assert himself as a quietly formidable force in underground house music. Since his 2023 breakthrough Ripples EP on Rhythm Section International, packed with sway-inducing grooves like “Whirl,” “Pump Up The Volume” and “Cenotes,” he’s maintained a remarkable creative and club presence. In 2024, he followed up with Papertrip on RS, a magnet for DJs and dancefloors alike, and later the Tanzanite EP on On Loop, where “Red Velvet” and “M’bira” earned serious praise for their visceral propulsion.

Wallace’s latest chapter includes a headline slot at Panorama Bar, alongside touring Japan, and support from tastemakers like Moxie, Gilles Peterson, Hunee and Bradley Zero – the latter reportedly playing “four or five Wallace tracks per set” across the past year. Stop-start grooves, pumping electro and acid licks, interwoven with percussive breakdowns and bursts of raw energy, define his DJ sets— for this mix: a cerebral yet unrelenting fusion of house, electro, acid and more, made for physical, late-night immersion.

2hrs recorded live from Magnetic Fields Festival & my first ever live mix

Under the velvet drapes of the Peacock Club in the Rajasthan desert last December we celebrated 10 years both of Rhythm Section & Magnetic Fields. The whole experience really did feel like a dream, filled with the most wonderful colours, sounds & characters. Thank you to the dancers, the festival & all the folk involved in making this experience one of the most magical I’ve had to date. I hope some of this shines through in the recording.
